Panaji : April 29, 2017 …. The Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar has declared that the Mulyavardhan, a value-based education programme with a whole school approach developed by Shantilal Muttha foundation is to be scaled up from June 2017 to all the Government primary schools of Goa following its successful implementation since 2016.
Shri Parrikar who was presided over the meeting organized by the Goa Education Development Corporation in collaboration with Directorate of Education and SCERT organized a review meeting under, “Scheme of Value Education in Government Primary Schools in the State. The meeting was recently held in the office of the Directorate of Education, Porvorim.
The Chief Minister speaking further suggested that the Mulyavardhan to be linked with the objectives of the Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan and include important issues to deal with Civic aspects like traffic management and waste, garbage management.
Shri. Shantital Muttha in his address assured that the foundation would work closely with GEDC, Directorate of Education and SCERT to design a framework aligning with these expectations. He assured his complete support for the project.
Shri Kanta Patnekar, Chairman GEDC, Shri Gajanan Bhat, Director, Education, Shri Nagraj Honnekari, Director SCERT, Shri Anil Power, State Project Director, SSA were among those who attended the meeting.
