Panaji. February 10, 2019 … Eighth batch of total 203 Security Guards successfully completed 3 months rigorous training at Police Training School Valpoi in Sattari recently.
An impressive passing out parade to mark the culmination of the training was held at PTS ground, during which Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, Dr. Pramod Sawant inspected the ceremonial march past and took salute.
The Security Guards were imparted training on various aspects including indoor and outdoor operations. It is the eighth passed out batch of Goa Human Resources Development Corporation. Speaking on the occasion the Speaker advised to the trainees to upgrade their education and knowledge for better future. He said, on lines of reserved quota kept in Home Department especially for Home Guards, similar sought of reservations should be there for Security Guards who are working under Human Resource Corporation, he opined.
Dr. Sawant further said under the unique ideas of visionary Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar who brought the idea of formation of Human Resource Development Corporation. He said more than 1500 goan origin Security Guards and more than 600 housekeeping attendants have been recruited in various Government Departments.
Appreciating the recruits for their impressive parade, Dr. Sawant exhorted them to maintain discipline they had learnt during the training throughout their life.
Shri Madhukar Phal, Managing Director of Human Resource Development Corporation also spoke on the occasion.
Best recruits such as Shri Vishal Velip (Best in outdoor), Shri Yogesh Naik, (Best in indoor), Shri Shubham Naik, (Best All Rounder) were awarded medals by the Speaker.
Earlier Shri Bosco George, Superintendent of Police and Principal of Police Training School welcome the guests. Shri Gurudas Gawade, Vice Principal proposed vote of thanks.
