07-10-2013 … Tourism minister dilip parulekar on Friday denied that he was involved in any irregularities being done for regularizing his encroachment in serula communidade land
It may be noted that the state Nationalist Congress Party on Thursday had demanded the resignation and sacking of Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar for fraudulently regularizing his encroachment on Serula Comunidade land.
NCP pointed out that on November 9, 2011 Parulekar made an application before Attorney of Serula Comunidade requesting to regularize the encroached area.
Accordingly, on December 4, 2011 the Attorney called for a general body meeting and resolved to regularize the said land as per article 380 (2) of the Code of Communidade by collecting amount in the form of value of the land. Rs 3.41 lakh were collected from the Minister as land price, NCP said.
The attorney then made an application to the Administrator of Comunidade, North and it was moved to Administrative Tribunal. On October 28, 2012, Minister was granted possession of land.
Speaking to goanreporter tourism minister dilip parulekar said that for the last twenty years he has been fighting in the court for the possession of the land through legal procedures and the procedure of the same was done many years back
Meanwhile NCP spokesperson trojano demello on Friday urged Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to sack the cabinet minister and initiate an inquiry into the land grabbing case, failing which the party would approach Goa Lokayukta.
Trojano said that the Attorney of Serula Comunidade, who is also Panchayat secretary and the Administrator of Comunidade, North, was also working as Under Secretary tourism, has blatantly misused government powers favouring Parulekar in the grabbing of land admeasuring 599 sq mtrs.
