Panaji, September 08, 2018 … The Enforcement Squads of South Goa District has been re-constituted for enforcing the effective implementation of illicit drug / Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003 in South Goa District for entire South Goa Talukas.
The Enforcement Squads are directed to take action on illicit tobacco products which are in circulation without paying taxes including other sections under Cotpa Act, 2003.
Mamlatdar / Joint Mamlatdars and Executive Magistrates of the respective Talukas, PSI / Police personnel attached to concerned Police Station in the jurisdiction, Sanitary Inspector of Health Centre in the Jurisdiction and a member of an NGO are appointed on enforcement Squad in all talukas of South Goa.
