It may be noted that state chief minister laxmikant parsekar had formally launched the mining operations at Codli mines on Monday stating that the state government would give all possible help for the mining sector.
Earlier the Goa Government had temporarily banned iron ore mining in September 2012, pending verification of documents in the wake of Justice M B Shah Commission’s report.
In the same month, the Environment Ministry had put on hold the green clearance granted to the mining leases in Goa.
In October 2012, the Supreme Court had imposed a blanket ban on mining while hearing a petition, which was lifted in April last year, but with riders.
Speaking to media reporters about the state of mining activites in the state chief minister laxmikant parsekar along with deputu chief minister ftrancis dsouza and state ml’a expressed happniess which they stated was good for the people from mining belt as well as for the goan economy …
