It may be noted that vijay sankalp rally at Merces bypass was well-attended not only by the general public but also by its alliance partners even as BJP’s own MLA Vishnu surya wagh was absent.
MGP’s three MLAs pwd minister Ramkrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavalikar, co-operation minister Pandurang ‘Deepak’ Dhavalikar and Ponda MLA Lavoo Mamledar were seated along with BJP leaders on the dais.
Also present were fisheries minister avertano furtado and Velim MLA Benjamin Silva. The BJP said that it had extended invitations to alliance partners as well as independent MLAs and parties supporting their government.
Speaking to goanreporter state bjp president vinay tendulkar said that though his party member tried a number of times to reach out to mr wagh he was not in contact with them and therefore his party would surely like to know as why mr wagh was not able to attend tue vijay sankalp rally on Sunday
Tendulkar also stated that though a number of bjp supporters had attended the Sunday’s rally from st andre constituency there were certain people who had tried to stop bjp supporters from st andre constituency by giving them money and asking them not to attend modi’s vijay sankalp rally
