Mr lourenco was speaking to media reporters on the statements of the bjp leader damu naik who on Thursday had alleged that the ruling group of margao municipality along with fatorda mla vijai sardesai were trying to create a political issue of coconut in the margao carnival celebrations and had asked the state chief minister to stop financial assistance being given to margao muncipality for carnival celebrations …
Mr lourenco said that the state bjp party seems to have realized that they were on the wrong side by ammeding coconut tree and requested the state government to remove the amendment as soon as possible
Meanwhile porvorim mla rohan khaunte speaking over the issue said that certain bjp leaders could not stop the voice of goans who were against the state government amendments to the coconut
