Panaji: September, 2015 …. The District Magistrate, North Goa District has notified the construction of Speed Breakers, Parking, No Parking, No Entry, One Way, Two Way and Pedestrian Crossing in the jurisdiction of Bicholim Municipal Council, Bicholim Taluka.
The notified places of Speed breakers to be constructed are one after the bridge near Koteshwar Temple, after Y Junction in front of Senior Citizen’s house, after Y Junction in front of National Pharmacy, after Y Junction in front of Photo Studio on Bicholim-Mayem road (antil peth) and on Bicholim Sankhalim road after bridge/Bicholim Industrial road junction.
The parking for two wheelers from Shubhalaxmi shop up to Sankalp Jewellery shop (BMC Market), from primary school entrance gate to opposite Shilpa bar, from Bank of India up to Goa watch shop (BMC Market), behind KTC bus stand, from Town centre building up to Goa Sahakar Bhandar(Intenal Road) (Angular parking), in front of Deendayal House, from Shalimar Footwear up to Govekar Footwear shop (in New Market), in front of Court gate opposite Shivaji Maidan, in front of BMC building to Canara Bank, from Dharma Hotel to KTC bus stand entrance gate and opposite Shaikh Adam House near Ferry land K.G. School.
The areas notified as parking for four wheelers are in front of Shantadurga Hotel to Govekar Hotel, in front of Dempo House to SBI gate, Our lady of Grace School to primary school entrance gate up to well, from Court gate to HDFC Bank junction (Bicholim Municipal Road),from opposite Bicholim MLA office to end Shivaji Maidan near Naik (old) Petrol Pump, Opposite Kamat hotel up to Dharma Hotel (Parallel parking) and opposite Bicholim Municipal Council office building to MLA office(Parallel parking).
The places notified as parallel parking for four wheeler are from post office building up to Bicholim Urban Co-op. Bank (Parallel parking), from Sulabh Toilet up to Koteshwar Temple (on clergy hospital road and from Maulinguem junction to Shantadurga High School both side (main road).
The places notified as no parking zone are from Zantye hall to HIra Talkies/ Theatre (both sides), from Congress house to Piligao road (both sides), from old Mahatme Clinic up to Pedh (town centre building), from Rajhas cold drink up to end of Shivaji ground (both sides), opposite Shaikh Nurudeen Muzawar house to opposite Brian Fernandes house and from Post office building up to Sulabh Toilet.
The places notified as no entry are for all types of heavy vehicles from Dharma Hotel onwards, opposite Shilpa Bar road, for four wheelers from HDFC bank up to Market raod junction (both ways), Advocate Amonkar house to market, Shirodkar jeweler shop, old Shantandurga Temple junction (Piligao Bicholim road), and near Brain Fernandes house up to Mohan Amonkar house.
Whereas the areas notified as one way are Homeopathic Medical store junction (market), at Amonkar Resident junction, behind Municipal building road, near Naik Pertol pump up to Shirodkar jeweler shop, from Town centre building up to Vasudev Naik cloth shop, from Sulabh Toilet up to Clergy Hospital road and from Shantadurga Temple road (Tjunction) up to Malik’s house.
The places notified as two way are from Naik’s Petrol pump (old) up to MLA’s office(both ways for two wheelers only) and from HDFC bank up to Market junction (for two wheelers only).
The areas notified as pedestrian crossing are in front of Primary school at ADIE office, near bus stand, near Bicholim Municipal Council, in front of Our lady of Grace School to primary school and Court building, near Radhakrishna High School (opposite BMC building), opposite Shantadurga High School and Primary School, near Koteshwar Temple (at bridge) and opposite Shirodkar building (on main road).
The areas near Kapadi junction has been notified as no right turn.
