SHRI PARULEKAR FAVOURS MODEL ANGANWADI CENTRES

Panaji, January 20, 2016 ….. Stressing that children are future of the nation Women and Child Development Minister, Shri Dilip Parulekar said that Government is making efforts to provide necessary infrastructure to build the future of nation.  Anganwadi is the base of education he said and appealed to the all representatives of the people to provide land in their respective areas to construct model Anganwadi Centers.

Shri Parulekar was speaking after inaugurating Anganwadi Centre at Old Bambolim recently where in the aganwadi has been built at a total cost of Rs. 9.66 lakhs. The function was organized by the Directorate of Women and Child Development.

 Speaking further Shri Parulekar said that Government has laid due emphasis to provide better infrastructure facilities in the education sector to provide quality education to every child in the state taking into account every parent is concerned to provide better education to their wards.  Government has already constructed model Anganwadi centre in various parts of the State he added.

 Dy. Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, Shri Vishnu Surya Wagh has said, Anganwadi Centres are stepping stone in education providing elementary knowledge in the initial stages of childhood and stressed the need to have full-fledged Anganwadi Centers throughout the State to fulfill the basic requirement of education.

 Complementing the Directorate of Women and Child Development for providing model Anganwadi Centre in Old Bambolim village Shri Wagh appealed to the people to avail maximum benefit of it. This Government is people friendly and therefore has implemented various schemes like Griha Adhar, Mamta and Ladli Laxmi to reduce the problems of weaker section in the society, he remarked.

 Smt Korgaonkar, Dy Sarpanch; Shri Vikram Fatharpekar, Shri Siddesh Naik and Shri Ghanasham Vernekar all Panchayat Members and Shri Vikas Gaunekar, Director, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs were present on the occasion.

 Smt Rupa M. Dalvi, Child Development Project Officer welcomed the guests while Smt Gaurita Kankonkar proposed vote of thanks.
