Panaji, June 30, 2018 … Goa State Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation Limited (GSSTFDCL) has notified Short Term Loan scheme for Education, Business and Medical purpose. Under this Scheme the Financial support upto Rs. 1,00,000/-. (Rupees One Lakh only) at the rate of 2% with a repayment period of 10 months is provided to any individual / student belonging to Scheduled Tribes Community as an advance to meet the Financial requirement urgently for the purpose of Education, Business and Medical.
With the implementation of this scheme difficulties faced by the ST community in arranging funds required to fulfill educational needs of their wards or fulfilling their health and business needs will be solved.
The Goa State Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation Limited is incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 with an avowed objective to bring about Educational, Economic and Social Development of the S.T. community in the state of Goa.
The corporation is presently implementing two loan schemes such as Ashraya Adhar Scheme and Self Employment Scheme. Under Ashraya Adhar Scheme upto Rs. 2,00,000/- is advanced as financial support in the form of loan @ 2% with repayment period of 10 years for repair / reconstruction of the existing house.
Under Self Employment Scheme Loan upto Rs. 10 Lakhs is provided to unemployed ST member to undertake any self employment activity and loans upto Rs. 15 lakhs is provided to the Association / Society / Partnership / Self Help Groups (SHG) / Companies formed exclusively by the member of Scheduled Tribes Community at the rate of 4% with repayment period of 10 years.
