CALANAGUTE PS: Shri Vishwas Govekar r/o Khobrawada, Calangute complained that on 16.12.12 at 16.00 hrs.  at Khorbrawada, Accused Manjeet  Singh r/o Estrala D. Mar Kobrawada criminally  trespassed into his  property  and damaged  the  hut causing loss of Rs.15,000/- and threatened with dire consequence. Cr.No.190/12 u/s 447, 427, 506 (ii) IPC stands registered. HC-3619 Achut Gawas is I. O.

PONDA PS: On 16.12.12, one Hanumant Yallapa, aged 52 yrs.  r/o Upper Bazar N/o  Gadag Karnataka was  found lying dead at Upper Bazaar, Ponda. Body preserved in GMC Morgue Bambolim. U.D.No.138/12 u/s 174 Cr. P. C. stands registered. PSI Hanshikutti is I.O.

PERNEM PS: Complaint on behalf of the State that on 16.12.12, prior to 09.20 hrs.  driver of  mini bus No.GA-01-V-4199 drove the same in a rash and negligent manner  while  proceeding  from Pernem towards Mapusa  side  and when reached  at RTO  Check Post  Dhargal High Way,  dashed from behind to the container No.HR-55-J-5730 which was proceeding   in same direction,  thereby  causing  injury  to the passenger who were  traveling  in said  bus. Cr.No.185/12 u/s 279, 337 IPC stands registered.

MAPUSA PS: ShriDurgesh Narhari Naik r/o Tumalwada, Pirna, Bardez complained that on 16.12.12 at 18.30 hrs. at Tumalwada, Pirna accused Keeny r/o Tumalwada abused  him with  filthy words assaulted  with fist  blows and wooden danda causing him bodily injuries further criminally trespassed into his  property ie court yard to kill him. Cr.No.326/12 u/s 504, 447, 506 IPC stands registered. HC-S Komarpant is I. O.

ANJUNA PS:  Shri Stanislaus Pascoal D’Souza r/o Mazalwada, Anjuna complained that between 10.12.12 at 08.30 hrs. to 11.12.12 at 07.30 hrs.  at Temti café  Anjuna, unknown foreigner  entered  into his shop and committed theft of cash of Rs.9000/- and some cigarette packets all W/rs.10,000/-, accused Lyond Christian, age 41 yrs.  British national arrested and kept in PC. Cr.No.164/12 u/s 380 IPC stands registered. PSI V.V. Piligaonkar is I.O.

BICHOLIM PS; Shri Deelip Laxman Gaonkar r/o Nanoda Usap, Bicholim complained that in the intervening night of 15/16.12.12 between 24.00 hrs. to 06.00 hrs.  at their ancestral  house at Gaonkarwada Usap,  accused  Sunil  Laxman Gaonkar aged 35 yrs.  r/o  usap  Nanoda being his younger brother committed  murder of  their eldest  brother  namely  Shashikant  s/o Laxman Gaonkar  and after  committing murder shifted the  dead body from ancestral  house ie place  of an  offence  into the cow shed located  behind their house  with intention to  dispose the  dead body,  also  wiped  out blood stains  with the help of cow dung from place  with intention to  destroy  the evidence. Motive over the issue of reconstruction of their ancestral house. Cr.No.187/12 u/s 302, 201 IPC stands registered. PI N. Deulkar is I.O.

OLD GOA PS: On 16.12.12, one Hirappa Naik, age 58 yrs,  r/o St. Pedro Ribander expired while undergoing medical treatment at GMC Bambolim as a case of  fall from heights.  Body handed over to relatives. U.D.No.74/12 u/s 174 Cr. P. C. stands registered. PSI R.N. Shirodkar is I. O.

SOUTH GOA DISTRICT

MARGAO TOWN PS: On 16.12.12, dead body of unknown male person was found lying near Damodar School, Comba. U.D.No.127/12 u/s 174 Cr. P. C. stands registered. PSI M. Colaco is I. O.

2) On 16.12.12, one Vishnu Yadav, age 42 yrs.  r/o Aquem, Margao  was admitted in GMC Bambolim as a case of  fall  from heights at work place  at Malbhat, Margao and expired while undergoing medical treatment. U.D.No.128/12 u/s 174 Cr. P. C. stands registered.

CANACONA PS: Mrs. Ruhani Kaur r/o commercial complex, Panchasheela Park, New Delhi complained that between 21.30 hrs. of 15.12.12 to 03.30 hrs. of 16.12.12 at Sevas  huts Colomb, Canacona, unknown culprit/s effected entry into her  rented hut by breaking   the main door lock and decamped with 1) Green Kata Bag W/rs.12,000/-,2) Canon camera W/rs.1,20,000/-, 3)   Lumix Panasonic Camera W/rs.28,000/-, 4) Camera Hoods, lens back, charger W/rs.10,000/-, 5) wallet with Rs. 24,000/-, ICICI  credit  and Debit card, HDFC Credit card Voter card, Press card, 6) clothes of Rs.70,000/-, 7) Rayban Prescription glasses W/rs.7,000/-, 8)  Tomford Glasses W/Rs.8,000/- all W/rs.2,57,400/-.  In this connection Cr.No.109/12 u/s 457, 380 IPC stands registered. 17th dec-2012 … Giving a ray of hope to the mining affected people Chief minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday said that the state government would initiate the process of scrutiny of mining  documents from Tuesday trying to complete it with in a months or one and half months time ….

Addressing media press conference chief minister Manohar parrikar said that that his government was eager to start legal mining activities in the state of goa as there were around 25,000 -30,000 people involved with mining activities and as a chief minister of the state his government was accountable for it …

Parrikar who is about to attend a meet of the national development council on 27^th of this  next month in new delhi said that he would raise up the mining enviournment clearances issues during the meeting and would also urge the prime minister of India dr manmohan singh to clear the state mining issue as soon as possible

Parrikar said that the cec report submitted to the Supreme Court had not give the correct facts where in the report had not mentioned about the action of stopping of transportation was done by the state government …

 Parrikar stated that the state government was in the process of coming out with certain schemes for the mining affected people which would be finalized within the first or second week of January

 Parrikar also commented on the agitation called on the goa mining people’s front on Tuesday

Teun de Nooijer, 36 is the highest capped player in the world who represented The Netherlands in 453 international matches. dec-15-2012 … Asking the state government to be more alert inside the goan water’s Chairman of Mandovi Fisheries, Menino Afonso on Saturday said that the state of goa could be the radar of a major terrorist activity through sea if proper measures were not taken to take care of the boundaries of the goan sea where more than three hundred illegal trawlers were illegally fishing in goan sea waters without having proper identification of the concerned trawler’s and their labourers

It may be noted that this week goan fishermen had caught Six trawlers from Karnataka which were found allegedly fishing in Goan territorial waters and were brought to the betim jetty by goan fishermen who were later booked for illegally fishing in to goan waters …

Speaking to  goan-reporter Chairman of Mandovi Fisheries, Menino Afonso said that the illegal trawlers fishing in goa waters was a serious issue as the same illegal trawlers did not had card, custom pass and had not a single permission with them from their state and therefore goan waters were an easy entry point for terrorists to enter …

if one goes through the tragic incident of the 26/11 mumbai attack according to an intelligence report the terrorists who had attacked Mumbai in 2008 had used sea routes for coming from Karachi in Pakistan to Mumbai ,.

The reports had warned that there could be a possible entry of terrorists into Mumbai through the sea route and the same intelligence was available six months ago as subsequently a barge was found by the locals on Shrivardhan coast in Raigad district four months back before the incident could take place

Even mumbai’s the then late Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh had said that the terrorists, who had created havoc in Mumbai overnight, came by boats …

Militants armed with automatic weapons and grenades attacked Taj and Oberoi hotels, hospitals and a famous tourist cafe in Mumbai killing more than 100 people.

Menino said that the recent code system which the state government hade ome for fishing trawlers was used only for goan fishing trawlers while the other state trawlers had no such system which was another serious issue to think of

Menino also stated that they have informed about the illegal trawlers fishing in goan waters to the chief minister Manohar Parrikar and fisheries minister avertano furtado who had assured full cooperation from their side to solve the issue as soon as possible

dec 15-2012  … Even though the state bjp led government had made a provision of a whopping budget of over 240 crores for hosting the lusofonia games 2012 in the state of goa, it is not yet know as weather the games would be held in the state as the games have received opposition from its own ruling government mla’s which is yet to be solved …

It may be noted that the goa state Organisers of the Lusofonia Games 2013 has already said that the state government would not leave any stone unturned in hosting the Portuguese version of the British Commonwealth Games titled lusofonia games to be held in Goa from Nov 2-10, 2013 in goa.

Even sports minister ramesh talwadkar in his recent press conference had said that the infrastructure at these venues will be developed at the cost of Rs over 240 crores which would be prepared well before the schedule time ….

But on the other side the current bjp led government ml’a from st andre constituency Vishnu surya wagh had raised his objections over hoisting the lusofonia games 2013 in goa saying that Goa shouldn’t participate in the Lusofonia Games as the participants were Portuguese-speaking countries and wondered how a state can join in as Goa was a state, a former Portuguese colony and not a country.

On asked as whether the differences between his party colleague and st andre mla Vishnu surya wagh were solved over the hosting of lusofonia games 2012 in goa sports minister ramesh talwadkar said that he had spoke to Vishnu over the matter and the difference were solved

But when the same question was once again put in front of the st andre mla Vishnu suryas wagh said that that mr talwadkar had not spoken to him over the issue and that he had given his personnel comment over the issue

The march has been called on specially to save goa from the imminent economic disaster and to safe guard the live-hood’s of thousands of mining dependent people
