HOME NURSING HAS VAST DEMAND AND SCOPE-DY. CHIEF MINISTER

Panaji: March 24, 2016 … Deputy Chief Minister Shri Francis D’souza has said that there is vast demand and scope for home nursing in the state. The students who have secured training should always remember that they are the ones who have to render services to the needy people.

Shri D’ souza was speaking as Chief Guest at the valedictory function organized by Indian Red Cross Society in the city today. The Indian Red Cross Society conducted three month course of Home Nursing in their office where in 35 students were participated in the course. The students participated in the course were given certificates of course at the hands of chief guest.

Shri D’ souza further speaking said that learning never ends therefore everybody should keep on learning. He advised the students to treat patients with love and care so that they feel happy in their time of agony. He also told the students to be patient and opt for enhancing their experience and knowledge of nursing to render better services to the patients. He also congratulated the students for successfully completing their course.

Dr Avinash Dhakankar advised the students to cherish help and cooperative attitude which he said is a must in this profession. He advised the students to respond to those who are in need of medical services. The students he said has been given basic teaching about anatomy, physiology, intramuscular injection, sugar testing, pressure and  various tips of first aid need to start their practice and opt for enhancing their medical knowledge hereafter.

The Deputy Chief Minister presented certificates and kitbags to the students and later on administered oath of cleanliness ( Swachh Bharat ) to the participants.

Dr. Kalpana Mahatme, Health Officer DHS, Dr. Sitakant Ghanekar Trainer, Shri Gangaram Morajkar, Shri Chandrakant Gawas Staff of IRCS, Shri  Rajesh Agarwal Patron Member IRCS and staff, Students attended the function.

Shri Gaurish Dhond Chairman IRCS- Goa welcomed the gathering.

Dr.Suvarna Fonseca,Principal Santo Minguel Higher Secondary School Taleigao, compered  the function.Whereas Shri Mario Pinto De Santana, Treasurer IRCS , proposed the vote of thanks.

 

WESTERN ZONAL COUNCIL STANDING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD

Panaji, March 23, 2016, … The Chief Secretary Shri R. K. Srivastava chaired the 9th. Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Western Zonal Council held in city today.

 Secretary of Inter State Council Secretariat Smt. Naini Jayaseelan welcomed the guests. Secretary, Ministry of House and Urban Poverty Alleviation Dr. Nadita Chatterjee, Additional Secretary and Advisor, Inter State Council Secretariat along with Secretaries and Officials of Goa Government, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Power, Department of  Food and Public Distributions, Ministry of Home Affairs, Inter State Council Secretariat, MHA, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Registrar  General of India, MHA and top level Officials of Goa, Maharastra and Gujrat were present for the meeting.

 The meeting reviewed the progress of implementation of recommendations made in the 21st. meeting of the Western Zonal Council held in state. It was also discussed on the items taken for consideration which were unresolved in the last meeting.

 Chief Secretary Shri R. K. Srivastava proposed vote of thanks.

JAZZ CONCERT BY CLAUDIO FILIPINNI TRIO ON MARCH, 28

Panaji: March 22, 2016 ….. The Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Goa in Collaboration with Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi and Kala Academy, Goa will be organizing the Jazz Concert programme on western music by Claudio Filippini Trio from Italy featuring Mr. Claudio Filipinni on Piano, Luca Bulgarelli on Double Bass and Marcelo Di Leonardo on Drums.

          Claudio Filippni hail from Italy’s Abruzzi region and has proven himself to be an talented musician, among the greatest in new Italian jazz. As member of Farizio Boss Quartet, recorded with London Symphony orchestra a tribute to the music of Nino Rota. His collaborations include Winton Marsalis, Dee Bridgwater, Giovanni Tommaso and Mario Biondi. The jempathy with bassist Luca Bulgarelli and Marcello Di Leonardo-the former being a real reference in Italian jazz, the latter on of the most intriguing emerging drummer in Italy – is taking increasingly interesting forms.

          The Jazz Concept by Claudio Filippini Trio from Italy will be held on Monday March 28, 2016 at 6.30 p.m. at Institute Menezes Braganza Main Auditorium Panaji-Goa. This will be rare opportunity to the Music lovers to witness the Jazz Concert of high standard artists from abroad in Goa.

          The Department of Art and Culture requests the music lovers of western music and all interested to attend this programme in large number i.e. on March 28, 2016 at 6.30 p.m. at Institute Menezes Braganza, Panaji-Goa.

FOUR DAY AROGYA FAIR BY MINISTRY OF AYUSH FROM MARCH 26

panaji, March 21, 2016 …. The Ministry of AYUSH has been organizing AROGYA, Comprehensive National Level fair on Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy in the major capital cities since 2001 to promote awareness and showcase developments in the various AYUSH systems.

In view of the huge public response for AROGYA fairs, the ministry has decided to organise a National level AROGYA fair at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Bambolim from March 26 to 29, 2016. This AROGYA fair has attracted importance as it would involve participation of International delegates.

The AROGYA fair would be inaugurated by Shri Shripad Naik, Union Minister of State (IC), AYUSH on 26th March at 11 AM. Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, South Goa Member of Parliament also been invited for the inaugural function.

Central Research Councils/National Institutes in the AYUSH system of Medicine along with National Medicinal Plant Board, Indian Medicines Pharmaceuticals Corporation Limited and private AYUSH industries will participate in the four day event and showcase their strength in the realm of Research, Education and Development of products to promote healthcare through AYUSH systems, AROGYA fair provides an all-encompassing platform to all AYUSH stakeholders to come together to project all facts of the AYUSH.   

The fair aims to create awareness among the members of the public about the efficiency of the AYUSH systems, their cost-effectiveness and the availability of herbs and plants used for prevention and treatment of common ailments at their doorsteps through various mass-media channels to achieve the objective of Health for all.

APLICATIONS INVITED TO RUN FAIR PRICE SHOP

Panaji: March 19, 2016 ….  Applications are invited from the interested parties to run Fair Price Shop at Aquem Baixo in Salcete taluka.

The applicant should fulfill the conditions of the guidelines issued by the Government and they should be financially sound having spacious premises  to run the Fair Price Shop, they should produce necessary evidence  in support of their financial position, premises, educational qualification, registration of name in the Employment Exchange, if any.

The educated unemployed should be passed S.S.C from any recognized school in Goa conducted by the Goa Board and must be in the age group of 18-35 years so also the member of the Co-op Society of the educated unemployed.

The interested parties should submit their applications to the Mamlatdar of Salcete Taluka, Civil Supplies Wing before April 15, 2016 with all required details.

Panaji: March 18, 2016 ….. The West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur will be honoring five young artists by presenting the Yuva Pratibha Puraskar comprising a certificate and cash of  Rs.  10,000/- each.

The Yuva Pratibha Puraskar is presented to the young talents who have gained knowledge in the field of folk forms and has contributed in the field of folk i.e. Folk instrumental, folk music, folk dance, folk songs and folk theatre.

Goa is known for the traditions of Art & Culture and hidden talents are abundant among the youth. To give platform to these talents and also to preserve our age old tradition of Folk art, Directorate of Art & Culture in joint collaboration with West Zone Culture Centre, Udaipur presents “ Yuva Pratibha Puraskar” every year to the youth in the age group of 18 to30 years from the field of Traditional Goan folk instrumental, Traditional Goan folk Music, folk Dance , Folk songs and folk theatre.

Interested young artists may submit their applications with detailed Bio- data to the Directorate of Art & Culture, Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji- Goa on or before March 23, 2016. Passport Camp at Margao on 19th March

Panaji, March 18, 2016 … Passport Office, Panaji-Goa under the Ministry of External Affairs will be organizing Passport Camp on Saturday, March 19, 2016 for normal fresh/Re-issue passport applications in South Goa Collectorate.

All applicants who would like to take the benefit of this camp should carry application reference number sheet which has respective details and appointment of above date and the visit camp site. Opening of online appointments for this Passport Camp will be on 17th March.

Entry to the camp will be allowed only to applicants with valid ARN with online appointments. Applicant should carry required set of original documents alongwith photocopies duly self-attested. Tatkaal, On-Hold, Walk-in and Police Clearance Certificate applications will be not be entertained on this date.

On both the sides of the road proceeding from Dattawadi (Masjid) upto Pilankar junction, On both the sides of the road ( Baba Naik house side) proceeding from Khorlim Simer (Rashtroli Temple) upto Pilankar shop junction (Ansabhat) behind Mapusa Police Station road, The right side of the road while proceeding from Natekar House junction upto Pilankar shop junction proceeding behind Maruti Temple, The left  hand side of the road proceeding from Phadke electrical shop (Hotel Trishul side) up to Ruturai Building,

No Entry on the road from Pilankar junction towards Dattawadi (Masjid),  The road from Dattawadi ( Kamat Garden) towards Electricity Department up to Anandi Niwas Ansabhat and the road proceeding from Ruturai Building towards Mapusa clinic.
