Ganpati Festival Special Trains on Konkan Railway

17/07/2014 …. The Konkan Railway has decided to run following special trains on Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati Festival in co-ordination with Central Railway. 

Train no. 01033/01034 Mumbai CST – Madgaon Reserved special

Train No. 01033 CSTM – Madgaon special train will leave from CSTM at 00:20 hrs on 26th, 27th, 29th, 30th, 31st August and on 1 – 3 and 5 – 10 September 2014.  The train will reach Madgaon at 14:10 hrs on same day.

Train No. 01034 Madgaon – CSTM  special train will leave from Madgaon at 14:40 hrs on 26th, 27th, 29th, 30th, 31st August and on 1 – 3 and 5 – 10 September 2014.  The train will reach CSTM at 04:30 hrs on next day.

The train will run 6 days a week (Except Thursday). The train will halt at  Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Zarap, Sawantwadi Road, Madure, Pernem, Thivim and Karmali stations.

The train will have One 2-tier A.C. coach, Two 3-tier A.C. coaches, Ten Second Class Sleeper coaches, Three General coaches and Two luggage cum Brake Vans.

Train no. 01037/01038 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Ratnagiri – Lokmanya Tilak (Unreserved) Special

Train No. 01037 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Ratnagirispecial train will leave from Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 01:00 hrs on 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th, 31st  August and on 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th September 2014.  The train will reach Ratnagiri at 09:05 hrs on same day.

Train No. 01038 Ratnagiri –Lokmanya Tilak (T) special train will leave from Ratnagiri at 11:30 hrs on 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th, 31st  August and on 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th September 2014.  The train will reach Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 19:20 hrs on same day.

The train will run on alternate days. The train will halt at Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Aravali Road and Sangameshwar stations.

The train will have  Twelve Ordinary Chair Car coaches, Four General coaches, and Two luggage cum Brake Vans.

Train no. 01039/01040 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Karmali – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Reserved Special

Train No. 01039 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Karmali special train will leave from Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 13:00 hrs on 25th August, and on 1st and 8th September 2014.  The train will reach Karmali at 01:40 hrs on next day.

Train No. 01040  Karmali – Lokmanya Tilak (T)special train will leave from Karmali at 10:00 hrs on 26th August and on 2ndand 9th September 2014.  The train will reach Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 23:15 hrs on same day.

The train will run weekly, on Mondays Ex-LTT and on Tuesday Ex-Karmali. The train will halt at Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Zarap, Sawantwadi Road, Madure, Pernem and Thivim stations.

HEALTH MINISTER INAUGURATES DIALYSIS UNIT AT VASCO

Panaji: July 16, 2014 … Minister for Health and Panchayati Raj Shri Laxmikant Parsekar along with Power Minister Shri Milind Naik inaugurated Dialysis Unit at Vishwa Sanjivani Health Centre at Vasco yesterday.

Stressing on health care facilities in the state Shri Parsekar said that the Directorate of Health Services is pro active in imparting good health services to the people of the state. He said Goa is doing well as far as health parameters are concerned.

The diseases like Cancer and Diabetics are alarming in the state the Health Minister said and stressed the need that the people to take precautions. He said 17 to 18 percent of population in the state is diabetic patients. To cater good health care services to the people the Government is encouraging private partners in the health care sectors he added.

Speaking further Shri Parsekr said that, Deendayal Health Scheme will be launched shortly.

Others present on the occasion were Dr. S. N. Sardesai, Dr. Anand Kamat, Shri Sukant Shaanbag, Dr. Amol Mhaldar and Dr. H. P. Pai.

Elaborating on the functions of dialysis unit, Dr. Mhaldar said, the kidneys help filter waste, excess fluid, and toxins from our blood. If one’s kidneys fail, they will need a life-saving treatment called dialysis. Kidney dialysis is a life-support treatment that uses a special machine to filter harmful wastes, salt, and excess fluid from the blood. This restores the blood to a normal, healthy balance he added.

GOVERNMENT IS SENSITIVE TOWARD THE BETTERMENT OF SPECIAL CHILDREN-HEALTH MINISTER

Panaji: July 16,2014The Health Minister Shri  Laxmikant Parsekar  has said that the faculty of D. Ed introduced by the Government for special children studying in Sanjay School  is a step towards the up gradation of education of Special Children and further mentioned that the Govt. will strive to start  graduate courses  in the future.

          Shri Parsekar was speaking as chief guest after inaugurating new course for special students Diploma in Special Education for Mental Retardation at Sanjay Center at Porvorim today.

Speaking further Shri Parsekar said Government is sensitive towards the special children and has been making all efforts for the betterment of this important segment. He said of the various courses in paramedics, two would be useful for the treatment of special children. He also said that we have to make utmost efforts to make the special children able and self reliant to live a dignified life and bring them   in the main stream of the society.  

Shri Anil Powar Director of Education stressed the need for participation of community in the development of special children. Considering that society being the stakeholder of the welfare and development of special children it is necessary to overcome all the shortcomings   that come in   their way. Special people are part of society and we should look at them with love and sympathy he   added.

Shri J.R. Rebello Chairman, Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education while speaking highlighted upon the fact that every individual is counted in the process of development. Therefore the society cannot give up its responsibility towards special people. Society has to strive for the welfare and has to work to make them able citizen to live better life. He lauded the association of Sanjay school with Goa Board and congratulated the faculty members for their commitment towards special people..He also thanked the Health Minister and the Government for providing Paramedical Services to Sanjay Center.

Ther faculty members of the center were felicitated  a  the hands of   Minister Shri Parsekar. Shri  Guruprasad  Pawaskar  presented mementoes to the dignitaries.

It may be noted that the disciplinary action committee headed by gpcc president john Fernandes had issued show cause notices T former chief minister and North Goa candidate for the Lok Sabha polls to Ravi Naik, former South Goa MP-Francisco Sardinha, Youth Congress president Valanka Alemao and former minister Joaquim Alemao, asking them to show cause as to why action should not be taken against them for alleged anti-party activities and were asked to appear before the committee members on Wednesday morning at the congress party office in Panjim

But surprisingly none of the four congress leaders turned up before the committee as the former chief minister ravi naik send his reply through an envelope, joaquim alemao ranged up the gpcc president and said that he was in Mumbai near his brother who was ill while no intimations were given by Francisco sardinha and velanka alemao over their absence …

Fernandes said that if a person was an mla, ex mla ex-mp or an aicc member then the mater belonging to him or her would be referred to the aicc members or high command to take their concurrence but action would be taken by executive committee of Pradesh congress committee

Chief minister Manohar Parrikar assures of solving the issue of mining affected people who had taken loans in various banks

15/07/2014 …. Chief minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday said that his government was sure of solving the issue of mining affected people who had taken loans in various banks spread across the state of goa with in a month

Till date Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has held more than twenty six meeting with various officials of the banking sector and has hoped of coming out with result before the 24th of july where in mr Parrikar has assured to declare the position of the state government in the upcoming assembly session during the budget discussion

Addressing media persons at his residence at altinho chief minister Manohar Parrikar said that meeting were yielding results as negotiations were on with the banking sector over the issue and govern was working overtime to solve the financial crisis in mining sector

Parrikar said that the state government would help only those mining affected people who could prove to the state government that they were affected due to stoppage of mining activities in the state

Addressing media person’s chief minister Manohar Parrikar said that unless the state government finds certain proof of those being involved in carrying illegal mining activities the state government was not in a position of going on for criminal proceedings but were confident of taking action on the concerned persons one by one …

Parrikar said that the criminal proceedings would be taken on case to case basis with major case to be taken up first

Meanwhile commenting over the issue of the appointment of state information commissioner Parrikar said that the selection criteria of sic was rejected due to some technical problems and the same p ost would be re-advertised …

WEEKLY REVIEW on prices and supply position of important essential commodities for the week in goa

Panaji, July 15, 2014 … The Weekly Review on prices and supply position of important  essential commodities  for the week ending July 08, 2014, in wholesale the prices of moongdal, moong and onion decreased by  Rs. 200/- to Rs. 800/-, Rs. 600/- to Rs. 1,000/- and Rs. 200/- to Rs. 300/- per quintal  respectively. Gram Kabuli big, Sugar S-30 and chillies green increased by Rs. 400/- to Rs. 800/-, Rs. 20/- to Rs. 40/- and Rs. 1,000/- to Rs. 2,000/- per quintal respectively.

The  prices of other important essential commodities like parboiled  rice outside, wheat Khandva, wheat Shivri, jowar Shalu, turdal Barshi, gramdal, coconut oil, gur fine,  Veg. ghee Ruchi, rawa, maida, green peas, potato, tomato, eggs large and banana (Vassai) remained steady during the week.

In retail the prices of chillies green increased by Rs. 10/- to Rs. 20/- per kilo.

The prices  of other important essential commodities like parboiled rice local, parboiled rice outside, raw rice common, wheat Khandva, wheat shivri, jowar Shalu, turdal Barshi, moongdal, gramdal, moong, gram Kabuli big, sugar S-30, gur fine,  coconut oil, vanaspati “Dalda” 1 litre packet rawa, maida, green peas, potato, onion, tomato, eggs large and banana (Vassai) remained steady during the week.

The increases and decreases  in wholesale  prices and increase in retail prices were due to increase and decrease  in wholesale prices in supplying markets.

Upgradation of Goa Medical College and Hospital

15/07/2014 …. The Central Government has provided financial assistance to Goa Medical College under Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) for strengthening and upgradation of State Government Medical Colleges for starting new Post Graduate courses/creating Post Graduate seats, with funding pattern of 75% by Central Government and 25% by State Government. Under this scheme, out of Central Share of Rs.16.60 crore, an amount of Rs.16.07 crore has been released to Goa Medical College.

The Central Government has also approved upgradation of 39 Government Medical Colleges including Goa Medical College, in the third phase of Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), at an approved cost of Rs.150 Crore (Central contribution – Rs.120 crore and State Share-Rs.30 crore) per College. Under PMSSY, upgradation in the form of creation of Super Specialty facilities is to be taken up in a phased manner, after preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for each College. The Central Government has approved M/s. HSCC (I) Ltd. (a Central Government Public Sector Enterprise) for preparation of DPR in case of Goa Medical College.

The Health Minister stated this in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha here today.

CALANGUTE PS: Shri Gaurav Gupta S/o Ashok Kumar Gupta, officer of wild life, Crime and Cruelty cell- People for animals- New Delhi complained that on 14.07.14 between 12.30 hrs.  to 14.00 hrs,  at Om Shop- Calangute, upon a  reliable  information  a raid  was conducted and during  raid  items made up  of Skin and bones of snakes, wild animals and  mollusca such as  1)6 ladies shoulder bag , 2)  6 ladies hand bag, 3)  Bracelets made up of  snake bones, 4)  two  wild  buffalo horns big and small , one piece  of snake  skin all W/Rs.2,20,050/- approx.,  which were found illegally  displayed in said  shop  for sale., accused  owner namely Ravi Chawan is found  dealing  in trade of  above items and is suspected  to be  involved in hunting  of wild life animals, snakes and mollusca. Cr. No. 179/14 u/s 44(1) (a), 49-B and 51 of wild life Act 1972 is registered. PSI Pednekar is I. O.

ANJUNA PS: Victim girl, age 16 yrs., complained that between 9.07.14 to 14.07.14 at 16.00 hrs.  at  Arpora, accused 1)  Santosh Gocchi, 2)  Mr. Ghanshyam Shaw, 3)  Mrs. Rubina Jela, 4) Narayan Lala, 5)  Mr. Suraj Raut, 6)  Mr. Shantanu  and 7)  Ms. Deeptimayee Baria all r/o Orissa  brought her for prostitution activities by giving false promises, wrongfully  confined her at  Room No.311,  Hotel Arpora, assaulted  and molested her, accused  were also  living  on the  earnings of her  prostitution activities. All accused arrested. Cr.No.74/14 u/s 3, 4 and 5 of Immoral Traffic Act 1956 and Sect 420, 370-A, 372, 354-A, 342, 323 IPC Sect 4 of POCSO Act 2012 is registered. PI Naik is I. O.

 CURCHOREM PS: Shri Sanjay Gurudas Naik r/o Mirabag- Curchorem complained that on 01.07.14 at 10.00 hrs.  at Cada Hall- Curchorem, accused  Xavier  Fernandes and  Jasasinto  Fernandes  both r/o  Toremol- Curchorem  being owners  of Honda  City car No.GA-06-D-3366, with their  common intention induced him  to purchase the same  and received an amount of Rs.2,82,000/- towards the said car from him,  further  dishonestly  failed to transfer  the  ownership, thereby  committed  breach of trust and cheated  him, further  they  took away  said car which  was in his possession without  his knowledge and permission  from above  open place in which  he  has kept one Samsung Mobile  phone in black color, two  D.Ds ,  counter slip of Rs.5000 of said  D.Ds and RC book  of vehicle No.GA-09-U-3192 and thereby committed theft of above items.
