THEATRICAL MAKE –UP WORKSHOP HELD

Panaji: July, 2015 …..  Directorate of Art & Culture, recently organized a workshop on “Theatrical Make Up” at Sanskruti Bhavan Panaji. Renowned Make –Up expert Shri Prabhakar Bhave, (Pune) was the Resource Person for workshop. He was assisted by Shri Arvind Surya.

Shri Bhave taught the participants about the rendition of various theatrical make up for different stage characters. He showed his expertise in creating artificial wounds for theatrical performances. Participants also learnt to make different theatrical masks and application of different wigs while enacting roles in drama.

Shri Pradip Talaulikar was the Chief Guest for concluding ceremony. Addressing the gathering, Shri Talaulikar stressed the importance of Make –up among the other elements of theatre and admired the department for organizing such activities for the benefits of local budding artists.

Miss Veda Manerikar and Shri Tulshidas Naik expressed their views. Earlier, the Director of Art & Culture, Shri Prasad Lolayekar greeted the dignitaries and experts with flowers and also presented mementoes. Dy. Director of Art & Culture Shri Ashok Parab proposed the vote of Thanks. The function was anchored by Shri Pradip Naik.
Total 24 persons, working the field of theatre participated in the workshop.

the new premises of the chief town planner would in house facilities such as file management sytem, registration of professional architects/engineers, implementation of auto-dcr, workshop on goa land development & building constructions regulations, 2010 , time bound services, notary architects/engineer and online availability of notifications orders and circulars …

Addressing media persons deputy chief minister francis dsouza said that there was need for a system to be put in place for auditing of buildings so that preventive measure could be taken before any natural calamities could take place and therefore was ask government as well as private buildings which had completed thirty years to get a stability certificate every five years

mr dsouza said that the first step would be to identify such government buildings in the state along and then would follow with private as well as even old houses which are left vacant in a dilapidated condition

Addressing media persons after the first general managing committee meeting of the newly elected members of goa cricket association gca president chetan dessai said that

gca was looking out for a new flavour for the gca ranji team and therefore had decided to have talks with mr kanitkar to be roped in as the new gca coach

Mr dessai said that the gca clubs would in all together get a grant of 3 lakhs each comprising both of last year and this year grants …

Mr dessai also stated that it was sad that the gca academy has been closed for unknown reasons and would try to reopen it as soon as possible …

Stating that proper transparency has been maintained during the lottery systems of the ballot Speaker of the goa legislative assembly rajendra arlekar has asked given the state media an open invitation to verify the process of ballot lottery systems which allows questions to state mla’s turn wise in the state assembly session

It may be noted that as the days for the start of monsoon assembly session is near there has been a procedure of ballot lottery systems where in state mla’s are required to put froth their question for a particular assembly session day and later through the lottery systems a concerned mla has to pick up a lot and whoever get a chances number wise is allowed a chance to raise his questions on the floor of the house …….

But not happy with this ballot lottery system three of the independent MLAs namely Vijay Sardesai, Naresh Sawal and Rohan Khaunte had earleir petitioned the Speaker that all the independents be treated as a separate group and be allotted time for demands on the floor of the House separately .

The group through their petition had also stated urged the speaker to desist from videography of the ballot and other related procedure as it showed lack of confidence in them as MLAs as well as the staff of legislative department who have been hitherto functioning in an impartial and unbiased manner …

Speaking to media reporters over the issue speaker of goa legislative assembly Mr arlekar also stated that since there was were specific issue there were certain mla’s who were trying to take cheap publicity with non issues

Mr arlekar said that he was unable to understand as why such issues were raised by certain state mla’s as equal opportunities were given to every mla to raise his issues in the house through a lottery system

Mr arlekar said that the procedure of lottery systems was also recorded too and still then certain mla’s still had a doubt on lottery system too

Even as goa government gears up for the three-week-long state Legislative Assembly session commencing next month speaker Rajendra Arlekar on Thursday said imprisoned legislator mickyp Pacheco could participate in the House proceedings provided the court gives mr pacheco permission to participate in the house.

Pacheco, a Goa Vikas Party legislator, has been convicted for slapping a junior engineer in electricity department and is currently jailed at Sada Sub prison.

Pacheco had resigned from the Cabinet after Supreme Court refused to quash his sentence given by Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao.

goa speaker rajendra Arlekar said there is no ban on Pacheco participating in the session as he is a member of the Legislative Assembly but could do that only after getting permission from court

Mr arlekar said that since mr Pacheco was detained by the court it was up to the court to permit him whether micky could attend the state assembly session or not

Meanwhile social activist advocate aires rodrigues said that mr Pacheco at the moment was a convict and therefore it was up to the court to decide on the concerned issue though the court could allow such decision only in certain cases giving proper reasons

The state assembly session would start from July 27 to around August 14 and would be of 15 working days where in first three days would be of general discussion on state budget while remaining 12 days discussion would be on demands ….

Speaker of goa legislative assembly rajendra arlekar said that since the session was of fifteen working days members of the legislative assembly would get a chance of three rounds to put up their questions before the floor of the house

Mr arlekar also stated that there was a need for the mla’s to be present inside the assembly house and not to move in and out during assembly session was going on as voters who have got elected concerned mla’s had expectations from the mla’s and therefore there was a need for the same to be present during the assembly session was going on …

Mr arlekar said that till date his office had received more than 1250 question and was expecting it to cross over to 3,000 question featuring both started and undstarred question which had been put up by all mla’s of the state ….

It may be noted that members of the BJP goa state unit along with some BJP MLAs office bearers had recently attended its party’s review meeting on its Mahasampark Abhiyan, a membership drive where in the BJP national president Amit Shah asking the party members to reach towards each and every house informing about its party progress undertaken in the state of goa

The state BJP currently has more than 4 lakh members in the state, and aims to increase members in the run up to 2017 assembly election.

The former union law minster was speaking to media reporters informing about the future programmes of the mapusa urban cooperative bank after being unanimously elected as the chairman of the bank but had happily vacated the bank chairman post due to the norms laid down by the multi state cooperative society’s act 2002 in the country ….

Mr khalap said that as far as the law in the bank section such provision of not allowing an elected board of director in a concerned bank was not a bad provision and would never object to such act

15/07/2015 …. The north goa planning and development authority has formed a sub-committees for taleigao and mapusa odp’s to rectify the objections and suggestions that would be raised by the locals of mapusa and taleigao on its concerned outline development plan …

The decision was taken at the 58th adjourned authority meet held at the ngpda office in panjim on Tuesday

For taleigao odp panjim mla has been appointed as the chairman of its sub-committee along with taleigao mla Jennifer monsoratte and Deepak mapsekar as its members
While mapusa odp sub committee would have franky carvalho as its chairman along

with ccp mayor subham chodankar and girish uskaikar as its members while the overall process would be looked upon by ngpda chairman and calangute legislator michael lobo …

Speaking to media reporter’s ngpda chairman Michael lobo said that the sub-committee of the respective odp’s would scrutinize and do inspections of the site on the concerned applications put forth by the concerned citizens

Mr lobo said that physical site inspections would be done in whatever suggestions and objections that were received by ngpda office and the reporter would be placed before the concerned ngpda authority

In his memorandum mr naik has asked ngpda to follow eleven point suggestions that were in the interest of the taleigao village, its residents for present and posterity such as no agricultural land / farmlands / orchids to be shown as settlement zone or commercial in the corrected or altered odp as well as no more proposals for development of roads to be built in the farm lands which will mutate the property further and lead to builders hub …

Reacting to the allegations made by taleigao bjp mandal president, Taleigao mla Jennifer monsoratte said that he was not informed about any representation made by people of taleigao which had not come up or discussed at the ngpda meet
