Goa public service commission begins online testing

Panaji: December 8, 2015 …. Goa public Service commission for the first time after its inception in the year 1988 will now conduct its first ever Computer Based Recruitment Test CRBT .

Like UPSC and a few other State Public Service Commissions in India, Goa Public Service Commission has now initiated steps for conducting online recruitment process.

          The first CRBT by the Commission was fixed on December 6, 2015 at Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim, Salcete, Margao, which was for the post of Designated Officer in the Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration.

By initiating the CRBT, Commission has taken a huge leap towards achieving utmost transparency in its recruitment process thus adding another feather in its Cap.  

PARAGLIDING TRAINERS ORDERED TO COMPLY DIRECTIONS

Panaji, December 8 2015 …. The District Magistrate, North Goa has ordered all the Paragliding Trainers to strictly comply with the directions with necessary permission for carrying out paragliding Training from all the concerned authorities with a complete schedule of the training (month wise) well in advance with complete name and address of the Trainer.

 They are also directed to maintain a register at the training site with the details such as Full name and address of the Trainee; Copy of Identity proof i.e. Voter card or Driving license or Smart card or Passport or Government ID card; Signature or left hand thumb impression of the Trainee.

The order comes into force with effect from December 7, 2015 and shall be effective for a period of 60 days that is upto February 4, 2016 (both days inclusive) unless withdrawn earlier.

DISTRICT MAGISTRATE ORDERS FOR TENANCY VERIFICATION

Panaji: December 7, 2015 … The District Magistrate, North Goa has ordered all the owners of the houses, buildings, flats and other residential accommodation and the owners/ management of all hotels, lodging and boarding, private guest houses, paying guest accommodation of religious bodies in the whole of North Goa District to verify the bonafides of the persons through their proof of identify such as Election Card, Driving License, Smart Card, Passport, etc. and fill in the Tenant/visitor/Guest Verification Form in respect of the Tenants/Visitors/Guests before such persons are allowed to reside/stay in their premises and furnish the same to local Police Station for further verification and record.

The order also applies to the owners of such premises who have so far not furnished the verification forms in respect of their Tenants/Visitors/ Guests and who are already occupying their premises.

          The order has been made effective for a period of 60 days w.e.f December 7, 2015 to February 4, 2016 unless withdrawn earlier.   

NOTICE TO CYBER CAFES

Panaji, December 7, 2015 …. District Magistrate, North Goa, has ordered for strict compliance of the following directions by the owners of such Cyber Cafes in the entire North Goa District the owner of the Cyber Café shall prohibit the use of Cyber Café by unknown person and whose identity has not been established by the owner of the café.

He/she shall maintain a register for identity of the visitor/user.He/she shall get an entry in the handwriting of the visitor/user mentioning name, address, telephone number and identity proof.

The visitor/user shall also sign the register kept for this purpose, the identity of the visitor/user shall be established through Government identity Card only, like Voter Card, Driving Licence, Smart Card, Passport, etc. Activity server log should be preserved in the main server and its record should be preserved for atleast six months.

if any activity of the visitor is of suspicious nature, the owner of Cyber Café shall immediately inform the nearest Police Station and the Police Control Room, record shall be maintained about the specific computer used by each visitor/user, CCTV camera shall be installed by the owner at the entry point of each cyber café.

          This order shall come into force with effect from December 7, 2015 and shall be effective for a period of 60 days that is upto February 4, 2016 unless withdrawn earlier.

GOVERNOR UNDERSCORES NEED TO SEGREGATE DIFFERENT KINDS OF WASTES

Panaji: December 7, 2015 ….  The Governor, Dr.(Smt) Mridula Sinha has stressed the need and importance to segregate different kinds of wastes and deposit them in separate bins in all residences and other places, so that the garbage treatment and disposal becomes easy and practicable.

The Governor has said that this is one of the basic important aspects of cleanliness at all places as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The Governor is a Brand Ambassador for the Swachh Bharat Mission nominated by the Prime Minister.

        recently speaking at a gathering of Raj Bhavan staff and others, the Governor, personally demonstrated as to how to segregate the waste, by putting wet waste, non-re-cyclable waste, glass and metal, paper and plastic in different bins and appealed to the citizens to follow this practice.

Speaking to goanreporter.com st cruz mla babush monsoratte said that since delimitation process as well as reservation of wards were concerned they had always been a delay from the state election commission to exercise the concerned process and that was the reason that he had gone in to the court asking for a time frame of 30 days to be given to the state election commission to complete the entire process as far as the upcoming ccp elections were concerned
Mr monsoratte said that it was not only the present government who had been dilly-delaying on delimitation or reservation process and infact even the previous government had also done the same things

Speaking to goanreporter.com calangute mla Michael lobo said that deliberate decisions of the earlier government where in paddy fields were converted earlier were needed to be reversed so that a good regional plan 2021 could come out and development in the state could take place in the right direction
