17/12/2015 …. Chief Minister laxmikant parsekar has urged the mining truck owners to call off their strike and start with the resumption of its services in the mining activities ….

 Speaking to media reporters at the secretariat at porvorim chief minister laxmikant parsekar said that e would like to request the striking truck owners to accept the company rate at the moment and assured to increase the rate once the dollar would improve in the international market.
Mr parsekar also stated that his government had help the mining sector in the last three and half years after the halt of mining activities in the state and therefore the truck owners should also need to help the state government in re starting the mining resumption
Parsekar also stated there were also certain people who had vested interest in creating problems in the mining belt and taking political mileage out of it

Under the scheme a Goan student will get financial help to pursue higher education and technical education courses within the state if their parents’ annual income does not exceed 3 lakh per annum. The ‘bursary scheme’ is available for students pursuing professional education or even a regular post-graduation.

The scheme will be operated through Goa Education Development Corporation.
 
The maximum amount of grant will be restricted to 40,000 per annum. Only those cases where the total course fee does not exceed 60,000 per annum will be considered under the bursary scheme.
 
The actual grant given to a student under the scheme would be calculated on the basis of the fees paid for each of the course/program and will be limited to the payment of fees and other charges given to the College/Institution.
The beneficiary of the scheme or the student should have completed his std Xth and XIIth and graduation in case of post Graduation students from an institution in Goa.
For benefit under the scheme, in case of post graduate course, the requirement of graduate degree from college/ university from Goa, will be relaxed for degree from Central University, NIIT, IIT, IIM & other statutorily created Institutions

Mr monsoratte also stated that issues like vision panjim, smart cities should not be an election gimmick but there was a need for the ccp mayor along with the councilors, architects, engineers to give their suggestions as far as panjim smart city was concerned

mr dsouza was speaking to goanreporter.com after the state congress party leaders had recently commented over the birthday celebration of defence minister manohar parrikar asking it to be cancelled and in turn the related money to be used to help the flood victims of Chennai.

deputy chief minister francis dsouza said that his party would like to do things the way they wanted and if there was a need to do anything for the flood victims in Chennai his government would definitely do that too …

Commenting over the issue of regional plan 2021 being kept open for public for suggestions and objections mr dsouza said that he was also of the opinion that certain areas such as forest land, agricultural land, no development zone should not be touched in the regional plan 2021 and his government would also ensure to see that proper care of environment was taken place
