RATION QUOTA FOR MARCH 2016

February 02, 2016 … The State Government through the Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has allotted ration quota under National Food Security Act for ration card holders and beneficiaries during the month of March, 2016.  

          The ration card holders and the beneficiaries allotted quota during the month of March, 2016, Under NFSA and  Tide Over allocation and Welfare Institution w.e.f  February 02, 2016 as under Antyodaya Anna Yojana AAY allotted 29.70 kg Rice  per card @ Rs. 3.00 per kg ; Antyodaya Anna Yojana AAY 05.30 kg Wheat per card @ Rs. 2.00 per kg ; Priority Household NFSA, 4.25 kg Rice per Beneficiary @ Rs. 3.00 per kg; Priority Household NFSA 750gms Wheat per Beneficiary @ Rs. 2.00 per kg; Tide Over APL 10.00kg Rice  per card @ Rs. 11.60per kg; Tide Over APL 02.00 Wheat per card @ Rs. 9.10 per kg; Annapurna ANP 10.00 kg Rice per card @ free of Cost ;Welfare Institution Scheme  Rice, as allotted @ Rs. 6.15 and under Priority Household, AAY and ANP  500 gms Sugar per beneficiary @ Rs. 13.50.

          All the Fair Price Shops owners are informed that the quota lifting should start with immediate effect and they should lift at least 50% of their released quota on or before February 10, 2016 and balance quota shall be lifted on or before February 19, 2016 strictly and no extension would be granted for lifting. The ration cardholders are free to take their entitlements for March 2016 along with the quota for the month of February 2016 from respective Fair Price Shops as specified above from February 1, 2016 onwards.

          The Fair Price Shops are required to display the details of stocks as well as sample quality of grains for consumer’s information and all cardholders/Consumers are requested to give their complaints, if any to the respective Jt. Mamlatdar-I or Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Junta House, Panaji. WRITTEN EXAMS FOR POSTS IN FDA ON FEB 06

The applicants who had filed their application for the post of Pharmacist, Assistant Chemist (Drugs) and Laboratory Attendant in the Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration, Bambolim are informed that the written examination for above posts has been scheduled on February 06, 2016 at 10:00 am, 11:30 am and 2:30 pm respectively at the Goa College of Pharmacy, Panaji Goa.

The list of the candidates has been already uploaded on the website of the Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration. It is also informed that call letters for written examination have been dispatched.

31/06/2016 … Agriculture minister ramesh tawadkar has said that there was no harm to cut down a coconut palm if the same coconut could create hindrances for development of the state …
Addressing media persons in panjim mr tawadkar said that the issue of coconut was made in to a political issue by certain politicians in the state though the state government thinking was only to help common man from helping in difficult times while trying to cut down a coconut palm
Commenting on the dairy milk issues Mr tawadkar said that goa dairy had failed to promote dairy farmers in the state and had totally failed in its production system
Tawadkar also stated that his government would put a clause to the sumul dairy unit to sell its products at a low rate than the market rate

Over the next two days the summit would hold various talks and panel discussions covering issues including finance, civil society, infrastructure, child marriage, youth agriculture, migration, smart cities besides tourism policy in Goa, etc.

31/06/2016 … While the state bjp led government have been boasting about taking care of every citizen of the state an elder lady from bicholim Krishna salkar gaonkar has been knocking at the door’s of chief minister laxmikant parsekar office at the secretariat for the past six months only to find an answer from his inward office staff saying that chief minister is not available as he is busy in gathering votes
Having no one to support her cause of constructing a cattle pound an elder lady by name Krishna salkar goankar from bicholim in order to asking for a financial assistance from the state government has visited the secretariat office of the chief minister laxmikant parsekar at porvorim atleast 15 times in the past three to four months and have been receiving only one answer from cm office staff saying that cm is busy and not available
Krishna who has to look after her family having more than five people including her mother has been surviving only by supplying cows milk to earn her daily living which helps Krishna get a mere amount of 300 per month but inorder to construct a proper cow shed Krishna has been knocking the doors of chief minister officer but has been unable to meet him till date
Krisna who has been trying to take an appointment with the chief minister laxmikant parsekar said that She only wanted to meet the chief minister and put forth her grievances before her an nothing else but was sad that the chief minister was not available everytime she had been to the secretariat
Krishna Said that even when earlier her house was came down in her village her local mla anant shet as well the state government were least bothered to help her and in turn was help by one of a good Samaritan

31/01/2016 …. Stating that he was not taken in to confidence by his own government and tourism minister, Calangute mla Michael lobo has opposed the state government’s move of starting the helicopter tourism at the aguada fort fearing that it could disturb the natural habitat in the area
Speaking to goanreporter.com calangute mla Michael lobo said that the helipad at auguada bay could be used for emergency purpose but not for helicopter tourism which could disturb natural habitat in the area
Mr lobo said that he was with the people of his constituency specially the candolim villagers and would not mind to go on hunger strike to oppose the move of the government
Tourism minister dilip parulekar said that his department had just started the services to increase tourism in the state an nothing else
Meanwhile former calangute mla agnelo fernandes said that locals have a strong objection due to the disturbance of flora and fauna of the surrounding due to the start of helicopter tourism

SHRI TAWADKAR CALLS FOR PROMOTING ORGANIC FARMING IN THE STATE

Panaji, January 30, 2016 …. Underlining the need to lay more thrust on promoting organic farming, Minister for Agriculture Shri Ramesh Tawadkar has stressed the need to undertake khajan farming which has been showing a decline in the state. He said, Khajan farming if taken up on scientific lines using modern technology will prove to be lucrative.

 The Agriculture Minister was speaking after laying foundation stone for proposed “Candalem Khajan Bund” at Chodan in Tiswadi taluka yesterday. The Minister said, even today most of the rural population depends on agriculture to sustain their livelihood. In this context he cited the example of Sikkim state, which he mentioned, emerged as one of the best states in the country promoting organic farming.

 Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, Shri Anant Shet,  Adhyaksha, North Goa Zilla Panchayat, Smt. Ankita Navelkar, ZP Member, Shri Shankar Chodankar, Sarpanch V. P. Chodan Madel, Smt. ‘SPIRIT OF INDIA RUN’ BY MR. PAT FARMER TO REACH GOA ON FEBRUARY 8

January30, 2016 … The Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India along with State Tourism departments of the States of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and Union Territory of Chandigarh are supporting ‘Spirit of India Run’ by Pat Farmer, an ultra Marathon Runner from Australia. Farmer will run over 4000 km in 60 days starting from Kanyakumari and finishing in Kashmir. He launched his run on January 26 celebrating India’s Republic Day and Australia Day.

A meeting  was called in the Directorate of Tourism  Chaired by its Director Shri Sanjeev Gauns Dessai to chalk out the modalities of the organization, management dn coordination the “Spirit of India Run” by Mr. Farmer and his team who will reach Goa on February 8, 2016. And will proceed from Margao to Velagar (Maharsahtra) on February 9, 2015.

The meeting was attended by Regional Director of India Tourism Regional Director (Western & Central Region) Shri Vikas Rustagi,  Director  of Sports & Youth Affairs, Shri V. M. Prabhudessai, Addl. Collector (Ponda) Shri Damodar Morajkar, Health Officer, Urban health Centre , Panaji Dr.Pritam Naik, Information Officer Shri John Aguiar,  SDPO Ponda Shri Serafin Diaas, SDPO Panaji,  Smt. Sunita Sawant and others.

Mr. Farmer is a multiple world record holder for endurance running and has run from the North Pole to the South Pole and across Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, the Middle East and North America. He has served  as a Member of Australia’s Parliament, with 3 years as Parliamentary Secretary for Education, Science and Training.

Mr. Farmer’s ‘Spirit of India Run’ is aimed at cementing relations between India and Australia; encourage tourism and personal relationships with a view to create awareness of India as a ‘Must Experience’ destination for travellers from Australia; and support causes and charity which in the current endeavour is to raise funds for education of girl child.

Mr. Pat Farmer commenced his  run from Kanyakumari on January 26, 2015  and conclude at  Srinagar on March 31, 2016. He is accompanied by a television crew which would cover the entire run and prepare a documentary that would be screened multiple times on Australia’s TV Network.

Mr. Pat Farmer will run on an average 70-80 Km., daily through the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir and cover a distance of 4600 km.

SPECIAL LADIES DESK AT EACH POLICE STATION SOON: CM

Panaji, January 30, 2016 … Chief Minister Shri Laxmikant Parsekar in presence of Minister for Panchayats, Shri Rajendra Arlekar recently inaugurated the Police Station building, at Pernem.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said, the Government will start special  Ladies Desk in each  police stations in order provide better service especially to female complainants.

Chief Minister informed that 300 new ladies police personnel will be deployed within six months in the state and recruitment process has already begun. After recruitment, he said, lady complainant will be attended by female PSI, s and Constables.

Shri Parsekar said the new premises will boost the efficiency of the police department and it will help the police to provide better service to the citizens, thus restoring their faith in the police department.

Earlier students of Bhagwati High School presented welcome song.

Director General of Police Shri T. N. Mohan welcome the guests.

Addressing the people Shri Rajendra Arlekar said that all required infrastructure has been made available for the smooth functioning of the Police Station.  He appealed to the police to give service with human touch to the people.

Shri Arlekar further stressed on the concept of Smart Police Station and said that, the police needs to be strict and sensitive at the same time, modern and mobile, alert and accountable. He said his vision is to convert Pernem Police Station into Smart Police Station imbibing modern technology.

GFDC-Our Lady of the Rosary High School, Dona Paula winners of Times Girls under-16 Soccer tournament

panaji 30/01/2016 …  GFDC-Our Lady of the Rosary High School, Dona Paula got the better of Blessed Joseph Vaz HS, Sancoale 2-0 to win the Times Girls under-16 Soccer tournament, powered by Goa Football Development Council in association with Goa Football Association and Sports Authority of Goa at Tilak Maidan, Vasco, on Wednesday.

GFDC-Our Lady of the Rosary scored once in each session through Simran Fatarpekar and Somaaya Mukundan to dethrone the defending champions.

The winners clearly had the better team and were dominant all through the match. Blessed Joseph Vaz HS had an off day and were kept in the hunt by goalkeeper Swizel Carvalho, who was later adjudged the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

For GFDC-Our Lady of the Rosary, Somaaya was a constant threat, while Karishma Shirvoikar was also influential, walking away with the best player award.

Chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar was the chief guest for the final while Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida was the guest of honour. Others present were Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) chairman Dr Rufino Monteiro, GFDC member secretary Aleixo da Costa, Mormugao Municipal Council chairperson Deepak Naik, Goa Football Association secretary Jason Monserratte, AIFF advisor Savio Messias, GFDC council member Shantaram Naik and GFA technical director Peter Valles.
