DMB WINS QUIZ CONTEST ON WELFARE SCHEMES OF THE GOVERNMENT

 Panaji: March 11, 2016 … Miss Gauri Pandurang Shetye and Mast. Raghunath Pundalik Asnodkar of Dnyan Prasarak Mandal, Bicholim Mulgao secured the first place at the All Goa Inter Collegiate quiz contest on welfare schemes of the government organized by Department of Information and Publicity to commemorate completion of four years to the State Government at a function held at Institute Menezes Braganza hall in the city yesterday.

The Second Place went to Mr Akash Arun and Mr Zibane Paes of  Damodar Higher Secondary School of  Science Margao whereas the third place was bagged by Mr Akshay Hosmani and Miss Vrushika Kauthankar of V.M Salgaoncar College of Law, Miramar.

The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and a trophy while the runners up had to be content with Rs 7,500 and a trophy. The winners of the third place were awarded a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and a trophy. The winners of the two consolation prizes namely Mr. Onkar and Mr. Denzil of Don Bosco College Panaji Miss Karishma Lavu Raul and Miss Priya Kudav of Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye, Government College of Arts and Commerce, Virnoda, Pernem Goa were also given prizes of Rs. 2000 and Rs 1000 respectively.

About 30 colleges from different parts of the state participated in the first ever quiz contest organized on the theme “Welfare Schemes of the Government” in the state which was aimed at disseminating information on Government Schemes, Policies, Programmes and creating awareness amongst the Student Community and teaching faculty for propagation of welfare schemes of the Government.

Chief Minister Shri Laxmikant Parsekar, Speaker of the  Goa Legislative Assembly Shri Anant Shet,  Dr Pramod Sawant  M.L.A. and Chairman of GSIDC, Shri Siddharth Kuncolienker, MLA and Chairman of EDC, Shri Sudhir Mahajan Secretary, Information and Publicity and Shri Jayant Tari, Director, Information and Publicity gave away prizes to the winners

GOVERNMENT WORKS FOR THE INTEREST OF EVERY SECTION OF THE SOCIETY- CHIEF MINISTER

panaji: March 9,2016 :The Chief Minister Shri Laxmikant Parsekar has said that the Government has kept in mind the interest of every section of the society while formulating various  welfare schemes.

There are number of infrastructural developmental projects which  are in progress throughout the state which is a testimony how the Governmetn works. He said the development has been  initiated in the constituencies irrespective of party affiliations which has been done with an objective to achieve the development of entire state.

Shri Parsekar was speaking as Chief Guest at the function of release of book on the Achievements of the Government and an Documentary film on the achievements of the Government and another short film produced entirely by the staff of the department on swacch bharat at a function in Panjim today.

The function was followed by  Konkani Kantaram Utsav a programme of Konkanikantarm competition.

The function was organized by the Department of Information and Publicity.

Shri Parsekar further speaking said that the Government has initiated steps towards empowerment of women. The schemes like Laadli Laxmi, Mamata, Graha Adhar and schemes for the education of girl child implemented itself proves commitment of the Government towards the empowerment of the women he added.

The Chief Minister Shri Parsekar appreciated the idea of quiz competition and street play on various Government schemes which he said is effective medium to disseminate information about the schemes of the Government apart from other sources.

As the function coincided with International Women Day Chief Minister Shri Parsekar greeted women and enlisted various schemes implemented for the empowerment of women in the state.

Speaker of Assembly Shri Anant Shet in his address highlighted the motive of the Government to work for the cause of common man. The welfare oriented approach of the Government reflects through its number of social welfare schemes which are in progress.

MLA and Chairman of GSIDC Dr. Pramod Sawant and Shri Sudhir Mahajan,  Secretary Information also spoke on the occasion.

Thereafter Shri Parsekar give away prizes to the winners of quiz competition held on various schemes of the Government. The first prize of the contest was won by Miss Gauri Pandurang Shetye and Master Raghunath P.Assnodkar of D.M.B.HSS Mulgao while second was won by Mast. Akash Arun and Zibane Paes of Damodar HSS of Science Margao, whereas Akshay Hossamani and Vrushika Kauthankar of V.M. Salgaokar Law College won the third prize.

Shri Siddharth Kuncalienkar MLA and Chairman EDC, Shri Sitaram Naik OSD to CM, Officials of various Governmkent offices, College students and others attended the function. The programme was followed by Konkani Kantaram Utsav organized in association with Tiatr Academy Goa.

URBAN SELF HELP GROUP MELA FROM MARCH 8 IN MARGAO

Panaji : March 8, 2016 …. The Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA) will be holding a three days Urban Self Help Group Mela from March 8th to 10th, 2016, under National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) Programme of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Government of India at Lohia Maidan, Margao.

 Inorder to make the programme participatory in nature, a state level Fancy Dress Competition for women will be held in two groups each (age upto 10 to 16 years and from 18 to 60 years) on March 9th, 2016 from 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.

 As part of International Women’s Day celebrations five lady Chairpersons from Margao, Cuncolim, Canacona, Ponda and Pernem Municipal Council will be honoured at the hands of the Dy. Chief Minister Adv. Francis D’Souza in the presence of the Directorate of Municipal Administration Mr. Elvis Gomes.

CM TO RELEASE BOOK ON ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE GOVERNMENT

Panaji : March 7, 2016 …. The  Department of Information and Publicity will organize a programme on the eve of completion of four years to the  State Government at Institute Menezes Braganza Hall in the city on March 8, 2016.

The programme includes release of Magazine on Government Achievements, Schemes, Policies and Programmes, release and screening of Government Documentary Film on infrastructure development in building quality infrastructure facilities, inauguration of Kantaram Utsav – A competition of Konkani Kantaram on Government schemes and achievements to be organized in collaboration with Tiatr Academy, Goa.

This programme will be held between 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. In addition to this, All Goa Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition involving students will also be organized on March 8, 2016 which will commence from 9.30 am onwards at IMB, hall.

Chief Minister Shri Laxmikant Parsekar will be the Chief Guest for the function which will also be attended by Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Shri Anant Shet, Shri Siddharth Kuncolienkar, MLA and Chairman of EDC and Shri Sudir Mahajan IAS, Secretary for Information and Publicity.

The book (magazine) brought out by the Department of Information and Publicity gives insight on the achievements of the Government in various sectors with informative photographs.

The sixty pages magazine has informative material with statistical information as regard to the number of beneficiaries under various schemes of the Government and other relevant information incorporated under the portfolios held by all the Cabinet Ministers including the Chief Minister.

It may be noted that Department of Information and Publicity is the nodal agency for dissemination of Information on various schemes, policies, and programmes of the Government through print and electronic media. As part of this exercise the department is organizing Quiz Competition on welfare schemes of the Government so as  to disseminate information and propagate various schemes of the Government in right perspective.

 The Kantaram Utsav too, will help lay thrust on Government Schemes and achievements. Besides it will help to provide artists a platform to exhibit their talent. The audience will also get the opportunity to witness the entertainment and  to assess the performance the tiatrists.

The winners of Quiz Competition and Konkani Kantaram Singing Competition will be given prizes at the hands of Chief Minister and other dignitaries on the occasion.

MUSICAL PROGRAMME OF DRUMS ON MARCH 9

Panaji: March 6, 2016 … The Directorate of Art  and Culture, Government of Goa is in Collaboration with International Centre for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi will be organizing  the Western Percussion Instrumentation musical programme i.e. “Delton Drums  Syndicate” a band based in Brussels, Belgium featuring Mr. Marc Van Eyck & Mr. Renaud Van Hooland leading Drummer.

          Daltun Drum Syndicate (DDS)  Marck va Eyck is a leading Drummer who had performed  at lot of Festivals such as;  Cap Sud Festival, Tembours  De fete Charveille (France)  MTV night Belgium etc. & Played with numerous bands like Largo with whom they toured in Europe. Started playing drums on soap boxes at the age of eight in 1994, he also plays on paiste  cymbals and mixes acoustic and electronic sounds ethnic and futuristic rhythm.

          The 2nd drummer Renaud Van Hooland studied drums with Bruno castellueei at royal conservatory in Brussels in 1996 to 2000. He played in D jango d’ Or event for Viva Musica festival and participated events for Corona in Italy with DJ and dancers, concerts with the Klezmer Jazz Bandin in Greece. Currently he teaches in Waterloo en in European school in Brussels.

          The drum Programme of both the artiste will be held on March 9,  2016  at 6.30 p.m. at Institute Menezes Branganza Hall, Panaji. This will be rare opportunity to the art lovers and Music lovers to witness the drum playing of high standard artists from abroad.

          The Department requests the music lovers of western music and all interested to attend this programme in large number as scheduled.

HANDICRAFRTS EXHIBITION AT PONDA

Panaji: March 5, 2016 … GHRSSIDC ltd. is organizing the Aparant Maand 2015-16 EXHIBITION to be held at Aguiar Ground, Ponda, Goa from 12th to 21st March, 2016.

The Aparant Maand 2015-16 will be inaugurated on12th March, 2016 at 5.00p.m. at the hands of  Shri  Mahadev Naik, Hon’ble  Minister for Industries, Social Welfare, H.T. & Co-operation, by lighting the traditional lamp in distinguished presence of Shri Lavoo Mamledar, MLA, Ponda Constituency and Chairperson, GHRSSIDC and Shri Shantaram Kolvekar, Chairman, Ponda Municipality.

Aparant Maand is Goa’s biggest handicrafts exposition. Artists, Craftsmen, Self Help Groups and Mahila Mandals from all over Goa are invited to participate in the Aparant Maand 2015-16. Aparant Maand is a Handicraft Exhibition cum Sale of Furniture, Shell Craft, Coconut Craft, Terracotta items, Crochet and Needle work, batik Painting, Brass items and a diverse range of other exquisite Handicrafts.

The main aim of the exhibition is to provide marketing support to Goan Artisans. The timings of the exhibition will be from 10.00am to 7.00pm. The Corporation shall allot 100 stalls free of cost to the handicrafts Artisans who are registered with GHRSSIDC or Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Govt. of India. The allotment of stalls will be on first come, first serve basis.

This will be a golden opportunity for Goan Artisans to display and expose their talents in crafts. All are kindly invited to visit Aparant Maand during above period to encourage talent of Goan Artisans.

The Corporation will allot 100 stalls free of cost to Handicraft artisans who are registered with GHRSSIDC. The allotment of stalls shall be on first cum first serve basis. Artisans are requested to send their application for registration to Office

Passport Mela on 5th March

Panaji, March 04, 2016 … Passport Office, Panaji will be organizing Passport Mela on Saturday, 5th March 2016 for Normal Fresh/Re-issue passport applications in its Passport Seva Kendra.

All applicants who would like to take the benefit of this Mela should carry Application Reference Number Sheet which has respective details and appointment of above date and visit Panaji Passport Seva Kendra.

Online registration with filling of forms is to be done at www.passportindia.gov.in website with the applicable fees. Online appointment has to be taken. Entry to the Mela will be allowed only to applicants with valid ARN with online appointments.

Applicants should carry required set of Original documents along with photocopies duly attested. Kindly note Tatkaal, On-Hold, Walk-in and Police Clearance Certificates applications will not be entertained in the Mela.   

DOE INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR TEACHERS NATIONAL AWARD

Panaji: March 3, 2016 … Directorate of Education invites applications from eligible Teachers for National Award 2015 under Primary and Secondary Category.

The application forms from National Award 2015 under the category of Primary and Secondary Teachers are available in the A.D.E.I. Office of all Talukas.

The duty filled in application forms in all respects are to be submitted to the Directorate of Education (Adm.III) through proper channel i.e. Office of the D.E.O. of their respective Talukas/ Zones on or before 17 March, 2016.

ADMISSION TO 50% STATE QUOTA P/G DIPLOMA SEATS AT GMC.

Panaji: March 3, 2016 … The Goa Medical college has invited Applications  from eligible  candidates who have obtained their permanent Registration with Medical council of India, State Medical Council and have appeared for AIPGMEE- 2016 for admissions to 50% state Quota post Graduate Degree/ Diploma seats of Goa University at Goa Medical College for the academic year 2016-17.

Admissions shall be on the basis of Rules and Regulations notified in the Government Gazette of India No. 44 dated 25th March 2009. Calculation of Aggregate Academic Merit and Bond implementation shall be as per Government Gazette series I No. 36 dated December 8, 2015.

The Provisional additional seats that are offered from academic year (2010) are as per the directives of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India vide letter No. U.12012/988/2009-ME(P.II) dated January

5, 2010 and in accordance with MIC vide their letter Nos.MIC-23 (1) 2009-Med./53390 dated  November 30, 2009 & vide letter No.MCI-23(1) 2009-Med./73706 dated February 13, 2010.The newly permitted 11 PG  Degree seats are As per directives of MCI vide letter No. U.12012/977/2014-ME(P.II) dated February 27, 2015.As per directives of MCI vide letter No.MCI-34(1) (Gen.)2009-/2509, 3% of PG Seats are  allocated to PH Candidates fulfilling the MCI criteria.

Details of seats available and Rules to be followed are displayed on Notice Board of Goa Medical college, Bambolim. As per the schedule for completion of counseling-cum-admission for 50% post Graduate under State Quota the date of Inviting applications is March 14, 2016.The last date receipt of applications is April 28, 2016.  (by 5:00pm.)

Last date for joining the allotted course after 1st round on April 22, 2016. Second round of Counseling- cum Admission is May 20, 2016 and last date for joining the allotted course after 2nd round is May 27, 2016. Commencement of Academic Session/Term may 01 2016. Last date up to which students can be admitted / joined against vacancies  arising due to any reason is May 31, 2016.

The above schedule is as per orders of Hon’ble Supreme court of India dated: Jan18, 2016 in IA 7 & 8 in Writ petition 314 & 328 of 2015 and is subject to change upon subsequent Orders (if any) from Hon.Court/MCI/MOHFW. Additional post Graduate Admission rounds may be held at short notice upon orders from above higher regulatory authorities. Hence applicants are requested to follow college Notice Board and website regularly.
