Goan Reporter News: CM Inaugrates Shree Vithal Rakhumaee GPS building
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant along with local MLA Shri Premendra Shet inaugurated the State of the Art Shree Vithal Rakhumaee Government Primary School Building at Vithalapur, Karapur in Sankhali today.
Present on the occasion were Shri Shailesh Zingade, Director, Education Department, Shri Mahesh Sawant, Zilla Panchayat Member, Shri Dattaprasad Kharkande, Sarpanch, Shri Harish Hadconkar, Managing Director, GSIDC, Shri Manguirish Dubhashi and others.
Addressing the inaugural function, Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant informed that Sankhali is the only village where you can get education from KG to PH.D. idea of implementing foundation course under new education policy.
Chief Minister said in the last 15 days the Government has inaugurated three state of the art primary school buildings in the State of Goa. The government has provided world class infrastructure in all three educational institutions, he added.
The Chief Minister said, we have to build the future of the students for which the Government is ready to provide required infrastructure. He advised to take steps that lead to a successful career with innovative ideas. He appealed to the ex-students of various educational institutions to provide their valuable time for the students to build their career in different fields at primary level.
The Chief Minister said, the school building itself is a learning tool for the children’s. Government is making continuous efforts to create diverse events of learning experiences through various spaces and architectural features.
Shri Premendra Shet, MLA, Shri Shailesh Zingade, Director Education, Shri Dattaprasad Kharkande, Sarpanch spoke on the occasion.
Chief Minister felicitated Shri Manguirish Dubhashi, Shri Sandip Chodnekar, Shri Dattaprasad Wagle, Adv. Narayan Sawant, Shri Bhubaneswar, and Shri Vardhaman Shendure, PTA Chairman.
Earlier, Smt. Kalpana Malik, Headmistress welcomed the guests. Smt. Kavita Dhawaskar and Shweta Pujari compared the function. Smt. Reshma Parab proposed a vote of thanks.
The state-of-the-art building is ground plus two with a large covered terrace for future expansion and other activities of school. There are 14 classrooms in all. 2 classrooms each for 1st – 4th standard imparting Marathi medium education and 2 classrooms for imparting Urdu medium education. In addition, there are dedicated classrooms for Music and Dance education. The school also has a playful activity room, Library and a circular meditation room with a space theme. The total built up area is about 2400.00 m², the total cost of the project is Rs. 5.59 crores.
Goan Reporter News: Awareness vehicles for Aqua Goa Fish Festival Flagged Off
Fisheries Minister, Shri Nilkanth Halarnkar in presence of Secretary, Shri Arun Kumar Mishra, IAS and Director, Smt Shamila Monteiro flagged off two awareness vehicles of 6th edition of Aqua Goa Mega Fish Festival at Secretariat, Porvorim today. Aqua Goa Mega Fish Festival will be held from February 10 to 12, 2023 at SAG ground at Campal, Panaji and will be open from 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
While speaking on the occasion Shri Halarnkar said, this fish festival will be a mega event showcasing Goa’s rich culture, varied and amazing underwater. The three days extravaganza event will highlight aquarium fish gallery, commercial stalls, live fish pond, competition and contest for children’s, adults and fishermen association, entertainment programmes and seminars Shri Halarnkar said.
Further speaking Shri Halarnkar said that the Directorate of Fisheries has initiated this festival to promote Goa’s rich fish culture, the fishing industry and to create awareness among the general public. This festival will provide a common platform for stakeholders to come together to build a strong economy in the fisheries sectors, Shri Halarnkar said. Eminent speakers and scientists from various prestigious institutions will be available to interact at the festival, he said.
The vehicles which are flagged off will make awareness among the fishermen community, fish farmers, entrepreneurs, all associated in this sector and the general public to be a part of this Festival he said.
The theme song for Aqua Goa Mega Fish Festival and also of the Fisheries Department launched.
Deputy Director, Chandrakant Velip; Superintendent of Fisheries, Smt Megha Kerkar; Shri Chandresh Haldankar, Smt Rohita Naik, Smt Jigyasa Murkar and Smt Sunita Pawaskar were present on the occasion. Shri Kishan Kumar Mangeshkar compered. Smt Shamila Monteiro proposed a vote of thanks.
