AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON CHILD FRIENDLY LEGAL SERVICES HELD

Panaji: February 28,2017 …. The Justice of High Court of Bombay at Goa Justice A.P Lawande has said that that it is the duty of the society to safeguard the rights of child and  provide protection for their healthy growth so as to become good citizen.The constitution of our country envisage various  provisions for the purpose which we have to consider to safeguard the interest of the child.

This was stated by Shri Justice Lawande who delivered  inaugural address at awareness programme  on NALSA ( child friendly legal services to children and their protection.scheme2015, organized by Goa State  Legal Services Authority in association with District Legal Services Authority, North    Goa  at Patto in the city today.

Justice Lawande further speaking said that it is the constitutional right of every citizen under article 22 of constitution of India to be defended by a legal practitioner of his choice. In regards to administration of juvenile justice is ensuring legal services at the state expencses. It is the  mandatory duty of Legal Services Authority to make available free legal aid service to every juvenile.

Shri Saresh D. Lotlikar, Ld.Advocate General for the State of Goa also spoke on the occasion.

TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS DURING BOARD EXAMS AT CUJIRA COMPLEX

Panaji: February 27, 2017 …. The Goa Traffic Police along with Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education have made special arrangements for parking of vehicles in the parking lot of Bambolim Athletic Stadium as part of the traffic arrangements during SSC and HSSC Board exams to be held in March at the Cujira Educational Complex, Bambolim.

After dropping the wards the vehicles should be parked in the designated/earmarked parking lot. The Dy. Supdt. of Police, Traffic (HQ) has appealed to parents and guardians not to park their vehicles along the approach road of Cujira Educational Complex.

The Goa Traffic Police in their instructions have said that while dropping and collecting the wards unnecessary chaos should not be created at the Main Gate of the Examination Centre and ensure that the smooth movement of vehicular traffic is not disturbed.

POWER SHUT DOWN

Panaji, February 26, 2017 … A  power shut down has been arranged on February 28, 2017  from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  at 11 KV BSNL feeder. Areas affected are  Ocean heights, Odxel, Machado Cove, Sea Rock Leisure and surrounding areas.

            Similarly, on March 1, 2017  from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  at 11 KV Cabo feeder. Areas affected are   Durgawadi, Sankwar, Vodlem Bhat, Cardozwaddo, Posrem Bhat and surrounding areas.

            Also  on March 3, 2017  from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  at 11 KV Cabo feeder. Areas affected are   Vodlem Bhat, Shankarwadi, Barbhat, Part of Cardozwaddo   and surrounding areas.

HSSC EXAMINATION TO COMMENCE FROM MARCH 1, 2017

Panaji: February 25, 2017 …. Higher Secondary Certificate Examination conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Alto Betim will commence from March 1, 2017 and conclude on March 22, 2017. The detailed Date sheet in respect of HSSC March 2017 is hosted on its official website www.gbshse.gov.in.

The examination in each subject commences at 10.00 a.m. and all the candidates are advised to be present at their respective centre of Examination 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the examination. The Examination will be conducted at sixteen centers in the State. In case of any inquiries candidates may contact Conductor/Observers at the respective centers.

 

LIQUOR PREMISES TO REMAIN CLOSED IN VIEW OF BYE-ELECTION

Panaji, February 24, 2017 …. The Government of Goa directs that all licensed premises for the sale of liquor shall be closed from March 4, 2017 to March 6, 2017 within the  jurisdiction of Ward No. II of Village Panchayat Cana-Benaulim (General)  in Salcete Taluka, in view of Bye-election to vacant Ward No. II of Village Panchayat Cana-Benaulim (General) in Salcete Taluka.

          However, the licensed  premises having licence for Bar and Restaurant may be allowed to keep the restaurant open for serving food only and the Bar counter shall be closed and no liquor shall be allowed to be served on the above mentioned days. The owner of the licensed premises having Bar and Restaurant shall also display a board in the premises stating that no liquor will be served and that only the restaurant is open for serving food.

ILLEGAL GRATIFICATION DEPOSITED/COLLECTED IN SELF HELP GROUP ACCOUNTS

Panaji : January 5, 2017 ….. The District Rural Development Agency, North Goa  in a press note issued stated that the General Elections of the Goa State Legislative Assembly are scheduled in the month of February, 2017 and the Model Code of Conduct is in force since January 4, 2017.Online Generator Little alchemist Gems

         During this period there is a possibility that the Self Help Groups/NGOs could be made conduits by Political Parties/Candidates for distribution of money/materials in cash or kind thereby indulging in large scale malpractices which is a punishable offence under IPC and R.P. Act. Therefore, it is strictly urged upon all the members of Self Help Groups under District Rural Development Agency, North and South Goa, not to get influenced in acts of receiving any illegal gratification through any mode prior to the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct till the completion to the entire Election process to have a free and fair Election.

In case of any violations of the above instructions by any of the SHGs action deemed fit will be initiated under the relevant provisions of Representation of People Act 1951 and Indian Penal Code respectively against the erring SHGs. In addition to this all the benefits to the SHGs under National Rural Livelihoods Mission Scheme will also be suspended for a further period to be decided by the appropriate authorities.

COMMITTEE FORMED TO SCREEN ARM LICENSES

Panaji: Dated: January 6, 2017 …  The  District Magistrate North Goa in a order issued constituted  a committee to screen the cases of  arm license holders who have not deposited their weapons in the police  custody by due date and to examine all the requests of arm license holders for exempting them from deposing their weapons with the police. The Committee  comprises of the District Magistrate  and District Election  Officer as a Chairman,  the Superintendent of Police(North) as a Member and the Additional District Magistrate –I, North as a Member Secretary.rental mobil jakarta

            Earlier to this District Magistrate prohibited the carrying of all types of arms, fire arms, ammunition lethal weapons, in any  public place, street, road squares, through  fare, by lanes or in any open place in entire North Goa District. Till the election process is over. And all the arms license holders in the North  Goa District were directed to deposit their fire  arms at the nearest police stations of their  respective jurisdiction and in no case after January 6, 2017.
