Panaji: Feb.5,2018 …. An open interaction programme was organized under Nobel Prize Series Programme in S.J. Quasim hall of National Institute of Oceanography at Donapaula recently. The Nobel Laureates Prof. Christiane Nusslein–Volhard and Prof. Richard J. Robert were the chief participants while Mr. Gustav Kallstrand was the moderator for this interaction programme.
The Nobel Prize Series Programme which has commenced in the state from 1 February, 2018 under which series of programme have been organized by the organizers as a part of this series this interactive session was organized so as to make the people to interact directly with these Noble Laureates.
Prof. Volhard while speaking said that scientist who makes the research should communicate with people about their ideas derived from their research work this may benefit them in getting ideas in return. Therefore scientists have to create proper communication with the people. As a women scientist she shared her experience of hardship she has faced while doing her research work In spite she stressed on the potential of talent which women have can make her to become a scientist .
Prof. Richard J. Robert while addressing in this open interaction programme focussed on the point of proper communication by scientist with the people. This he said will help to share their ideas and scientific knowledge with people. Lack of adequate communication between these two important factors of society have left away people from knowledge of science and creating scientific temper among the people he added.
