Panaji, September 15, 2017 … The Ministry of Women and Child Development celebrates this day to acknowledge the achievements of women for the nation and recognize their contributions to the society and confers awards International Women’s Day which being celebrated every year on March 8, 2017.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development conferred Nari Shakti Puraskars every year to individual and institutions in recognition of their service towards the cause of women empowerment, especially vulnerable and marginalized women.
The nomination from individual/groups/institutions/NGO’s to be submitted alongwith supporting documents and a brief on the individual /Institutions of the distinguished services rendered by them in the field of women/ for the cause of women as mentioned in the prescribed application from Annexure I available at this Directorate or can be downloaded on the website of the Ministry of Women and Child Development Government of India at http://www.wcd.nic.in. The application completed in all respect (hard and soft copy pen drive/CD) to be submitted to the Directorate of Women and Child Development, Old Education Bldg., 2nd floor, 18th June Road, Panaji Goa 403001 on or before September 29, 2017.
