November 9, 2016 …. As per the directions issued by the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety dated August 18, 2015, the motor vehicle rules are made stricter.
The Goa Traffic Police had booked one youth on November 11 near Magson Super market and challan was issued vide CR 21(25) R/W 184 CR 125(2), of M.V. Rule and U/s 190,196 of M.V. Act 1988, for using mobile phone while riding his motor cycle. The violator was found having invalid insurance, without PUC and rear mirror. The M.V. challan was compounded by the violator.
The Police have now requested the Department of Transport to suspend the license of the defaulter for a period of not less than three months u/s 19 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988 read with rule 21 of Central Vehicles Rules 1989.
