6-march -2013 … Members of the mining affected people specially from the truck owners association on Wednesday met chief minister Manohar Parrikar and submitted their various grievances specially asking for a package to the family members of the mining affected people
Speaking to goanreproter sanguem mla subash phaldesai said that there was a need from the central government side to give a 100 crore package to the state government mining affected people where the state government was paying a huge revenue of 900 crores to the central government from the mining industry
Subash said there was a need from the state government side to give some guidelines to the reserve bank of india so as to help the truck owners who feared of their trucks being confiscated by the banks due to non payment of their installments …
Subash also said that there were some who were trying to hype the Margao issue for no reasons when there was not even a single complaint filed on it
