IFFI TEAM VISITED GOA Took stock of preparation for the forthcoming IFFI 2015

 Panaji, November 14, 2015 … Shri Sunil Arora, IAS, Secretary, Information and Publicity Government of India along with team of Iffi visited Goa recently and took stock of preparation for the forthcoming IFFI 2015 in Goa.

The team visited the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, the venue for the opening and the closing ceremony for the festival. He also visited Kala Academy venue for the opening and closing movie followed by Inox courtyard at Maquinez Palace theatres also.

The site visit was followed by a meeting which was chaired by Shri Damodar Naik, Vice Chairman, ESG, Shri Sunil Aurora, Shri R. K. Srivastava, Chief Secretary, Shri K. Sanjay Murty, Joint Secretary, I&P, Shri Sudhir Mahajan, Secretary for Information and Publicity, Shri Sentil Rajan, Director DFF with other ESG officials were present for the meeting.

Law and Order during the festival well coordinated effort to be ensured by the hospitality and transport team and centrally based control centre for all the purposes were the major points discussed in the meeting. The Secretary also took stock of VVIP movement at all the venues, minutes to minute programe.

Chief Guest Anil Kapoor will inaugurate the 11 day film carnival on November 20 in Goa. Film on Ramanujan to open IFFI this year, Spain is focus country.

This year’s film fest showcase 187 films from 89 countries, including one from Pakistan, in the world Cinema Section and 26 feature and 21 non-feature films in Indian Panorama Section.
