Panaji, November 26, 2019 ..The Women Facilitation Wing (Help Desk) held its first ‘Meet the Council’ meeting at Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Conference hall . The function was inaugurated by Smt. Sulakshana Pramod Sawant. While speaking on the occasion Smt. Sawant encouraged women to follow their passion and think out of the box and with innovative ideas in business. She also said it’s very important for women to be-self reliant and that the Government has a number of finance schemes for entrepreneurs and women must take advantage of the same.
The Chairperson of (GCCI) Women’s Wing, Ms. Pallavi Salgaoncar said that such ‘Meet the Council’ meetings will be held at regular intervals with different business groups in which women entrepreneurs and Self-Help groups can come and interact with the Council.
EDC and DITC representatives Ms. Pujan Makwana and Ms. Arti Desai spoke about the various schemes available for women entrepreneurs. Ms. Vrushali Parsekar compared the function.
The Women’s Facilitation Council (Help Desk) is initiative of the women’s wing of GCCI. it has a core committee consisting of the chairperson, Ms. Pallavi Salgaoncar, Director Women and Child Development Ms.Deepali Naik CA/CS, Ms. Swatee Rane, Advocate Ms. Priyanka Kamat e Shetiya, and Ms. Inseyah Ali of FiiRE.
