GOVERNOR Dr. MRIDULA SINHA INAUGRATES  23rd ICCCON 2016

Panaji: September 18, 2016…. Governor Dr. (Smt) Mridula Sinha inaugurated 23 rd Annual Conference of Indian college of Cardiology, at a function held at Cidade de Goa,  Dona Paula yesterday.

Governor in her address appreciated the hard work and latest studies done by Cardiologist in the field of Cardiology. She said that in India there are lot many challenges for cardiologists to be faced as diseases related to heart increasing and we face shortcomings to control such problems as compared to other developed countries. However sense of precaution towards heart diseases is also rising in the society. People are becoming very cautious about their food habits so also life style to avoid heart related problems, Governor further added.

Governor also expressed her happiness as Goa is chosen venue for this conference by the organisers. She also mentioned about Goa`s vibrant culture and ethos.

Shri Dr. S Natrajan,  President of Indian college of cardiology (ICC)  in his speech expressed concern about increasing ratio of heart diseases in the country which makes practice of medicine very challenging day by day. He also spoke about importance of young talent which needs to be incorporated in field of cardiology, and to improve health sector to impart quality treatment. This ICC conference will be concluded on  18 September 2016.

Dr. P.K.Asokan, President (Elect)  informed the gathering about various initiative taken by ICC to train young cardiologist.

Dr. D Ramesh Secretary of ICC read out the report of  ICC. Dr. S.B Gupta organising chairman of ICC acompared the function. Dr. Uday Jadhav, Organising secretary later proposed vote of thanks.
