Panaji: October 29, 2018 … Minister for Panchayat, Shri Mauvin Godinho inaugurated the renovated Panchayat Building of Parcem, Pernem in the distinguished presence of Shri Sidharth Kunkalienkar,Vice Chairman, GSIDC; Former Chief Minister, Shri Laxmikant Parsekar and Ex MLA Shri Dayanand Sopte at a function held at Parcem yesterday.
Speaking on the ocassion, Shri Godinho informed that GSIDC has completed the renovation of the Panchayat Ghar of Parcem under Deendayal Panchayat Raj Infrastructure Development (Golden Jubilee) Scheme. He said funds provided to Panchayat for constructing panchayat building had been increased to Rs 3.5 crore from 2.5 crore out of which Rs 40 lakh will be reserved for maintainance of the building in the future.
Speaking further, Godinho reiterated that development is taking place in every corner of the State at a fast pace. Every month atleast one panchayat ghar or rennovated panchayat ghar is been inaugurated which shows development is carried out in most of the panchayat. He appealed to the youths to take benefits of various self employment schemes provided by the government.
Shri Laxmikant Parsekar addressing the gathering congratulated Smt. Pragati Prashant Sopte, Sarpanch, V.P. Parcem for her initiative to felicitate all the ex sarpanch who have contributed during their tenure on this ocassion.
Shri Sopte complimenting GSIDC for constructing structure and upgrading the current structure said that the renovation of the hall was need of the hour for the village as it lacked the facility of a good hall to conduct any programmes and activities for the people.
Shri Sidharth Kunkalienkar appealed to all the villagers to keep the panchayat ghar clean and maintain it.
The highlights of the building is, its renovated Multipurpose hall, which can now cater to 400 people. Changing room and toilet facilities are also provided for the renovated hall. The Sarpanch’s Cabin, Meeting Room, Talathi Office, Primary Health Centre and toilets for office use on Ground floor have been renovated and refurbished with new furniture, storage and lighting.
Also present on the ocassion were Shri Arun Bandhkar, ZP Harmal; Shri Deepak Kalangutkar ,ex ZP of Korgaon; Shri. Ajit Sagun Morajkar, Dy. Sarpanch, V.P. Parcem; Shri Arun Parsekar, Shri Premnath Kanolkar, Shri Paresh Gawandi, Smt Mamta Satardekar Panch Members of V.P. Parcem and officials of GSIDC.
Shri Nilesh Kalangutkar compered the function while Shri Sharad Mandrekar, Panch member proposed the vote of thanks .
