Goan Reporter News: Union Minister, Shri. Shripad Naik distributed 126 appointment letters under Rozgar Mela

As a part of the Nationwide Central Government recruitment process, Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Tourism Shri. Shripad Naik distributed 126 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates in Government jobs under the Centre’s 6th Rozgar Mela initiative at the event held at Institute Menezes Braganza, Panaji. Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi addressed the appointees on the occasion through video conferencing after initiating the appointment letters virtually in the country.

Rojgar Abhiyan is proof of transparency and good governance, stated Prime Minister Modi while addressing. The new recruits should work with sensitivity towards the citizens of the country and keep learning new, he pointed. Move forward in the direction of realising the vision of a developed India in the 25 years of Amrit kaal, he added, guiding the new recruits.

The new appointees are expected to play a significant role in nation building. They will be involved in the task of strengthening Industrial, Economic and Social Infrastructure of the nation, said Union Minister, Shri. Shripad Naik. Their service over the next 25 years of `Amrit Kaal` will help in laying down a strong foundation for ‘Developed India’ NAYA BHARAT,VIKSIT BHARAT, he added.

The appointment letters in Goa were distributed across sectors, including the State Bank of India (64 candidates), Bank of Maharashtra (14 candidates), Railways (30 candidates), Customs (8 candidates), and the Central Goods and Services Tax Department (8 candidates). Furthermore, the Union Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Defence each appointed one candidate.

Shri. Arvind Kumar Singh, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Shri Bikash Basumatary, Deputy General Manager, State Bank of India, Shri K.M. Nandkumar were present at the function.

Under the Rozgar Mela, today Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi distributed about 70,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in Government departments and organisations all over India.This Rozgar Mela held at 43 locations across the country. The recruitments are taking place as Central Government Departments as well as State Governments/UTS supporting this initiative.

The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development. The newly inducted appointees are also getting an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on iGOT Karmayogi portal, where more than 400 e-learning courses have made available for anywhere any device’ learning format.
