The Hindi Srujanotsav 2023 – Yuva Pratibha ceremony was inaugurated with great pomp and enthusiasm at the Institute of Menezes Braganza, Panaji. This remarkable event was graced by Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant; renowned writer, Smt. Alka Saraogi, hailing from Kolkata.
In his address, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant highlighted the pivotal role of the Hindi language in shaping careers at the national level. He announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Goa Government and the Research Department of the Government of India, Underscoring the need for proficient translators. Dr. Sawant extended his best wishes to all participants, affirming that the Hindi Srujanotsav would undoubtedly prove beneficial to them.
Smt. Alka Saraogi, an accomplished writer and the keynote speaker, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the significance of language as a vessel for expressing emotions which also offers insights into life. She stressed the role of literature in personal growth and shared her personal journey into the world of literature. On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, she extended warm wishes and encouraged the celebration of linguistic heritage.
The Hindi Srujanotsav, initiated in 2014, continued its tradition of excellence by hosting State Level Graduate and PostGraduate Literary competitions, showcasing the immense talent within Hindi literature. Competitions included oratory, poetry reading, essay writing, dictation writing, and drawing, providing a platform for participants to demonstrate their literary skills.
The ceremony also honoured graduate and postgraduate students who had displayed exceptional dedication and achievement in the field of Hindi language and literature.
The event witnessed the unveiling and presentation of the book “Usha Priyamvada ka katha sahitya:samajshatriy adhyayan” authored by Dr. Magdalin D’souza.
Smt. Jayshree Roy Harmalkar, a renowned writer; Shri Dashrath Parab, President of Institute Menezes Braganza; Shri Milind Mate, Member Secretary; and Dr. Asha Gehlot, Executive Member of Institute Menezes Braganza were also present.
