MLA for Sanvordem constituency Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar hoisted the national tricolour at Dy. Collector Office, Dharbandora today.
Speaking on the occasion of 77th Independence Day celebration, Dr Gaonkar stated that, his vision is to ensure Sanvordem constituency is fully developed. Putting a strong emphasis on education to secure children’s bright future, he said, under the Swayampurna Goa, the Career Guidance Programme, would give IX to XII students with on-line coaching on several examinations such as the GPSC, UPSC, Bank test, Railway Board etc, apart from providing information on various courses, will be launched in 15 days. This curriculum will assist students in selecting a high-demand career like as IAS, IPS, IFS etc. Hard copies of the book containing information on various exams will also be distributed, he informed.
He also highlighted various upcoming development projects in Sanvordem constituency to boost the tourism sector, such as beautification of the Tambdi Surla area near Mahadev Temple, connecting the Bondla Zoo through various roads, Mollem helipad service, Dudhasagar area, hill climbing adventure projects etc. Approximately 1000-1500 jobs will be generated through this developments. Apart from that, a fire station and Ravindra Bhavan will be built in coming days.
Earlier on his arrival, the MLA was received by Deputy Collector, Nilesh Dhaigodkar, Mamlatdar Shri Laxmikant Kuttikar and Police Inspector.
MLA took the guard of honour from the Police contingent. Students of high school presented National Integration songs .
