Nature and Human beings are correlated to each other said Governor of Goa Shri Sreedharan Pillai on his visit to Chorao Island today along with his wife Smt Rita S Pillai.Governor expressing his happiness over his visit to Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary said that Forest Department and Government of Goa making best efforts for protection of island, nature and for the propagation, they are doing the maximum for conserving nature.
Governor also informed that Raj Bhavan will be soon publishing three book namely Heritage trees of Goa, VamanVriksha Kala Udyyan” and Heavenly islands of Goa. As Goa is considered as tourist hub these book will give more information to the tourist he added.
Shri Premendra Shet, Mayem, MLA who accompanied Governor for his visit said that initiative of government is to develop hinterland tourism in Mayem which will attract more tourist in his constituency.
Governor also took a boat ride on the river through the mangroves. Governor also visited Shri Devkikrishna Bhumika Mallinath Devasthan and seek blessing followed by his visit to St Bartholomew’s Church and Christ Ray Cross at Chorao.
