Maina Sports Club secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Goa Velha Sports Club, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Simon Barreto Memorial Inter Village Football Tournament at DYSA Ground, Curtorim. Joywin Carneiro opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, followed by Savio Peixoto’s brace in the 20th and 37th minutes. Despite the loss, Goa Velha’s goalkeeper Francisco Afonso was named Man of the Match for his outstanding saves.
