Goan Reporter News: Linking of Aadhar number to the bank account for DSS scheme

The Directorate of Social Welfare is implementing a scheme “Dayanand Social Security Scheme”, with an objective to provide assistance to the most vulnerable section of society which includes Senior citizen. Single women / Widow, Persons with Disabilities and HIV/AIDs patient.

In order ensure to smooth functioning of the scheme and hassle free disbursal of financial assistance, Government has decided to adopt the method of Aadhar Based Payment System (ABPS) of financial assistance to the Beneficiaries.

The Directorate of Social Welfare has informed that Saving Accounts linked with Aadhar Number will only be accepted alongwith fresh application forms. Therefore all the existing Beneficiaries are requested to link their Bank Accounts to their Aadhar Card Number within a period of 03 months from the date of this Circular, failing which the financial assistance shall be suspended till the linkage of Aadhar number to the Bank Account, as informed by the Department of Information and Publicity.
