India is on its way to become super country and for this, the overall development of the nation is crucial, said Fisheries Minister Shri Nilkant Halarnkar. He was speaking at a function organised by Konkan Railway at Thivim Sirsaim Railway Station after Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Goa’s first Vande Bharat Express today.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, various infrastructure development can be seen in terms of railway, Airways and roadways. The proposal to upgrade and renovate Thivim railway station by the central government will soon be executed, he added.
Speaking on the Road Infrastructure development of the State, Shri Nilkant said the highway project from Pollem to Patradevi has cut off travel time to a great extent helping people to reach the destination at ease. Shri Nilkant insisted on the support and coordination of the people to the Government for more development and progress of the State.
Smt Diksha Kandolkar, Vice Chairperson, North Goa Zilla Panchayat and Shri Arjun Aroskar Sarpanch Thivim also spoke on the occasion.
Shri Raju Chowdhury, Station Master and other government officials were also present.
Later on Shri. Nilkant Halarnkar received Vande Bharat Express train on its arrival at Tivim Station.
