“Keep your conduct and service good and this will help you stay ahead,” said Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant while speaking at a function held to distribute enrolment orders to the candidates for post of Home Guard volunteers at the Secretariat in Porvorim, today. He told the Home Guards, “Depending on your quality and skills you will get work. Complete your education if you have not completed the minimum criteria so as to make the best of the opportunity to enter the police force,” the Chief Minister said highlighting the opportunities the Home Guards had in joining the police force, “We are fulfilling the vision of a ‘Fit India’, ‘Skill India’ and ‘Inclusive India’.
Superintendent of Police (SP), Ezilda DSouza, GPS while welcoming the gathering informed that the Home Guards will undergo training. She further informed that Home Guards have been rendering important service in traffic, district police and other areas and they will be further training those who are qualified to also work in offices.
