Governor of Goa Shri. P.S. Sreedharan Pillai has extended his heartiest greetings and warm wishes to the people of Goa on the festive occasion of Ram Navami.
Shri. Pillai in his message stated that, Ram Navami signifies the memorable day on which Lord Rama was born. Every year Hindu Community celebrates the Ram Navami with gaiety and religious fervour across the country. Lord Ram also known as “Maryada Purshotam”, is symbol of truth, righteousness and morality as well as the destroyer of evil. Ram Navami offers to the people an opportunity to renew the spiritual, moral and ethical values and virtues and to rededicate themselves to the cause of social harmony, goodwill, spiritual solidarity and progress.
On this occasion of Ram Navami, we should take a vow to live together in total amity and brotherhood and allow no evil forces to destroy our peace and national unity and integrity, Governor added.
May the celebration of Ram Navami this year encourage all the people to lead a virtuous and purposeful life in total commitment to the welfare of the country, the Governor concluded.
