Addressing the financial assistance distribution ceremony, the Governor Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pilai said that the people of India are supreme. It is the duty of the elected Representatives and the service providers to serve the people, he remarked.
The Governor informed that, after the successful completion of Saimik Daiz Yatra he will be visiting the forest areas of the State to see and study the life of people living in such areas and added that grievances of the people living in such areas will be addressed.
While praying for speedy recovery of cancer patients, the Governor Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pillai said cancer is now a curable disease and patients need not worry. He informed all the applications received for financial assistance have been cleared by Raj Bhavan.
The distribution of financial assistance to needy cancer, dialysis and other patients is historical and an epoch making achievement in the history of Raj Bhavan, Goa said the Governor.
First Lady of Goa Smt. Rita Shreedharan Pillai also graced the occasion.
