Goan Reporter News: Government Polytechnic Panaji and GCCI Sign MOU to Bridge Education-Industry Gap and Boost Employability

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and Government Polytechnic Panaji (GPP) on 16th September 2024 at the Government Polytechnic Panaji.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Sanjay Amonkar, Director General, GCCI and Dr. Pramodini S. Naik, Principal GPP in the presence of Kiran Ballikar Director, GCCI, Ambika Dhakenkar Deputy Director, GCCI and Cheryl Araujo, I/c HOD Modern Office Practice Department, GPP and Rahila Khan, Member of GCCI, Women’s Wing.

This MoU was an initiative of the department of Modern Office Practice at GPP, which has provided skilled staff to the government and private sector for over 50 years. The 3 year diploma in Modern Office Practice has a track record of almost one hundred per cent. It provides students an advantage of getting to learn Stenography and Computer Typing along with other subjects. Students can then get employment in the Administration, Accounting and many sectors of the industry.

The MoU will ensure that GCCI and GPP work together to provide training opportunities for students to enhance their employability and link education to the  world of work.
