It has been reported by the Air Traffic Control, INS Hansa Goa Airport that a strong laser beam was pointed towards the cockpit of the Aircraft during departure of aircraft from Dabolim. Such high powered laser beams can cause temporary blindness to the pilots leading to inadvertent hazardous situation. General Public and tourist have been asked to refrain from doing such illegal activities for the safety of the aviation and smooth functioning.
Such an act is also illegal and a punishable offence under the law.
