Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today paid tributes to Dr Tristao Braganza Cunha, the father of Goan Liberation struggle on the occasion of his death anniversary at his Memorial at Azad Maidan, Panaji.
Chief Minister placed a wreath on the memorial and paid homage. The Police Guard of Honour paid compliments to the Memorial.
Briefing the media persons, Dr Pramod Sawant said State Government has initiated various steps so that our future generation is enlightened with the immense contribution made by Dr T.B Cunha for the Goa’s freedom struggle.
Chief Secretary Shri Puneet Kumar Goel, IAS, Secretary, Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, Secretary (Finance), Shri Jaspal Singh, IPS, DGP along with other dignitaries also offered loose rose petals at the memorial. The Police band played the last Post and National Anthem.
