Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce and National Stock Exchange in association with Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Goa Small Industries Association organized an interactive workshop on SME IPO-Promising Avenue of fund raising for SME`s held at Verna yesterday.
Managing Director for Goa State Industries Development Corporation Shri. Pravimal Abhishek, IAS said that the State Government is committed towards providing support to industries growth in the State. The Government has simplified the various processes in industries sector wherein investors can experience transparency and ease of doing business in Goa. Industries Department has come up with best regulations and support to small and medium industries to flourish more. It is also intended to establish connection between Goa IDC and ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) for making available platforms of digital commerce to local businesses.
Shri. Abhishek expressed that, such workshop on SME –IPO will inspire local industries and SMEs to expand their business by raising funds from stock market.
President, Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shri. Srinivas Dempo said that MSME sector is contributing largely towards the economy of the nation, hence the mindset of SMEs has to be changed and they should venture into SME IPO. Goan entrepreneurs has to set greater goals for their companies and seek opportunities in stock market.
Senior Vice President of National Stock Exchange, Dr. Harish Ahuja and Senior Manager NSE, Shri. Gagandeep Singh made detail presentation on SME IPO and explained how SME IPO can become promising avenue of fund raising for small and medium industries
