The Conference of Religious India (CRI) Goa Unit organized a vibrant Formees Day for all the formees in Goa who are aspiring to become priests and nuns. The event took place at the SVD Seminary in Raia under the leadership of Sr. Flory, the president of the Goa CRI unit.

The day began with a solemn Eucharistic celebration, with Fr. Gabriel as the main celebrant. The Eucharistic celebration was made even more special by the melodious voices of the SVD seminarians who led the choir.

A key highlight of the day was an inspiring session conducted by Fr. Onasis Dcruz. His session focused on reminding the formees of the importance of the synodal journey as part of the preparations for the Jubilee Year 2025. At the same time, Fr. Berry led a session for the formaters who had accompanied the formees, providing guidance and insights into their role in the journey of the formees.

The event continued with a lively series of activities, including games, action songs, and dance, which energized the gathering and fostered camaraderie among the participants.

The day was made even more memorable with the presence of His Grace, the Auxiliary Bishop of Goa, Most Rev. Bishop Simião Purificação Fernandes. His interaction with the formees was uplifting, as he reminded them of the significance of the Jubilee year and the synodal journey, encouraging them to embrace their path with joy and commitment.

As the day came to a close, the formees wore smiles of satisfaction, having had the opportunity to break from their daily routine, meet new people, and form lasting friendships. What began as a gathering of strangers from different congregations ended as a united group of friends, all belonging to one family in Christ.
