Goan Reporter News: Collective participation is needed to fight against TB says Union MoS Shri Shripad Naik.

Everyone should support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to make India TB-free. Highlighting the urgency of the cause, Shri Shripad Naik, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, emphasized the need for collective participation in the fight against TB. He commended the role of homeopathy medicines during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic and highlighted the instrumental role of homeopathy doctors in aiding TB patients, a group often marginalised by society.

Speaking at the Tuberculosis Awareness Programme, organized by the Goa Board of Homoeopathy in collaboration with the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme Unit, Directorate of Health Services Panjim, in the city. Shri Naik urged for awareness about TB and called for a united front in the battle against this disease.

Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, reiterated the importance of doctor’s commitment in the mission to eliminate TB. He stressed the pivotal role of doctors in identifying and treating TB patients and praised their unwavering dedication to the cause.

One-day seminar on Tuberculosis Awareness Programme was also organised, where Dr. Manish Gaunekar, Chief Medical Officer of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), shed light on the vital role played by Homoeopathic Physicians in the NTEP programme. Dr. Gaunekar, a driving force behind the organization of this awareness programme, shared insightful perspectives on the collaboration between medical disciplines in achieving the shared objective of a TB-free India.

Speakers Dr. Dinesh Kowshik, Dr. Diptesh Amonkar, and Dr. Mohinaz Kandolkar enriched the seminar with their expert insights and experiences. The event witnessed participation from Dr. Bipin Salkar, Chairman of the Goa Board of Homeopathy, and a gathering of Homoeopathic Doctors from across the state.
