Goan Reporter News: CM Confers CSR TIMES Awards

The Government is committed to provide necessary support, whether it be through facilitation, clearances, or partnerships, to ensure that CSR investments yield meaningful and lasting outcomes stated Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, who was speaking as chief guest at CSR  TIMES 11th  National  Summit, CSR  Times Awards ceremony organized by CSR TIMES at Raj Bhavan Dona Paula in Goa yesterday. The theme of the Summit was Empowering States Through Sustainable Development.

Highlighting the initiative of the Government to drive the State through CSR funding, he said this approach engages companies to fund projects in education, healthcare, infrastructure and sustainability, fostering Socio-economic growth and strengthen public private partnership.

Chief Minister emphasizing the importance of CSR partnership said that the true essence of CSR lies in its ability to transform lives and create a sustainable future. As we move forward, let us continue to collaborate, innovate, and invest in initiatives that empower our States, uplift our communities, and protect our environment, he said.

Appealing to stakeholders of Corporate sector the Chief Minister said the Goa CSR Authority is here to guide, to help identify areas where your contributions can bring the most significant difference, and to ensure smooth and effective implementation of projects. Whether it’s enhancing education, building healthcare infrastructure, promoting sustainable tourism, or conserving our rich biodiversity, there are ample opportunities to contribute to Goa’s development, he added.

The Chief Minister speaking further expressed willingness of Goa  to partner on this journey. Therefore he appealed to work together to ensure that the progress we make today lays the foundation for a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow  The Government  he said is committed to provide all necessary support in organising CSR TIMES Awards, in our State for next three years.

The Chief Minister  emphasizing the scope of work  in Environmental sustainability said this is another area where we have seen tremendous progress. Our efforts to promote clean energy, waste management, and the conservation of our natural resources have been greatly supported by CSR contributions, he opined

The Prime Minister of India is dreaming of Viksit Bharat by 2047 which will be successful only if we are able to provide work to every hand, he remarked.

Various companies and Charity organization were awarded in various categories for their contribution in socio-economic development in the country and were conferred awards at the hands of Chief Minister.

Shri. Harish Candra, Chief Editor, CSR Times, Shri. Prashant Das, Consulting Editor, CSR Times,  Shri. Saxena, Joint CEO, Goa CSR Authority, CEOs, MDs of various Corporate Offices and Companies from Goa and other States, other business leaders, CSR professionals, Jury members and others were present at the function.
