Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant launched the Directorate of Education’s in house social media handles of YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter today at the Mantralay Secretariat, Porvorim. This event, organized by the Directorate of Education, marks the first ever step to establish dedicated social media platforms for the Education Department.
The introduction of these social media handles aims to provide easy access to content on mental health, physical fitness, circulars, other information and awareness about various topics related to education across the State. Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant congratulated the Education Department and highlighted the benefits these platforms will bring. He emphasized that stakeholders, teachers, students, parents, and the general public will now be able to access all information pertaining to education through these media handles.
These media handles took their form with the valuable assistance of Shri Paul Fernandes (State Program Coordinator – Media), Directorate of Education.
The dignitaries present at the event were Shri Prasad Lolayekar, IAS, Secretary of Education, Shri Shailesh Zingade, Director of Education, Dr. Shambhu Ghadi, Director of SCERT, Dr. Uday Gaonkar, Deputy Director of Education, Shri Manoj Sawaikar, Assistant Director (Planning), Smt. Sindhu Prabhudesai, Assistant Director (Academics), Shri Melvin D’costa, Assistant Director (Vocation), and Umesh Sarnaik, State Project Coordinator, Goa Samagra Shiksha.
