Minister for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry, Shri Nilkanth Halankar in the presence of Prenem MLA Shri Pravin Arlekar hoisted the national tricolour at the 77th Independence Day celebrations at the Office of the Deputy Collector and SDO, Pernem today.
The Minister extending his greeting to the people on the occasion of 77th Independence Day recollected the sacrifices and struggle of our freedom fighters because of which today we are enjoying this freedom. He also highlighted the contribution of Late Dr Ambedkar for giving us the Constitution of India providing justice to each and every citizen of India.
Further speaking, he appreciated the Prime Minister of India for putting forth “Panch Pran” theme for India 2.0 which comprises women and children, tribal empowerment, water, cultural pride, lifestyle for environment, health and wellness inclusive development, Atmanirbhar Bharat and unity.
Shri Halankar also lauded the work done by Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant his initiative of Swayampurna mitra and now for launching its flagship scheme “Gramin Mitra” to provide doorstep delivery of government services across the State and promote digital empowerment in rural areas. This initiative is aimed at bridging the digital divide and fostering a digital and inclusive governance system. He also highlighted the various schemes made available in the Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Department and urged people to take benefits of it.
