Alva would be administered the oath by Chief Justice of Bombay high court at the Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula, at 6pm on coming Saturday.
This will be in addition to her own duties until regular arrangements for the office of the governor of Goa are made, the sources said though Alva has her tenure till the first week of August …
it may be noted that the former governor of goa Bharat Vir Wanchoo had resigned on July 4, hours after he received a call from the Union home secretary conveying the government’s wish that he should submit his resignation while on last Monday, President of India Pranab Mukherjee accepted Wanchoo’s resignation and Alva was given additional charge of the post.
Speaking to media reporter’s in Panjim state bjp president vinay tendulakr said that mrs alva as the governor of goa was a temporary arrangement as her tenure was about to get over the state bjp party had no problem of mrs alva being appointed as the governor of goa as his party would not bring personnel politics in to it
