The last time Goa had hosted an international cricket match was way back in 2010 between india and Australia

Mr dessai said that though goa was due for an international cricket match it was difficult to get the fatorda stadium as the fatorda stadium had a tight schedule of Indian super league football tournament this years as well as under 17 football world cup due to which it was difficult for gca to host an international cricket match in goa …

The managing committee of the goa cricket association on Thursday also officially appointed former India cricketer Hrishikesh Kanitkar as Goa senior cricket team coach and another ex-India player Ajay Ratra as coach of state’s U-19 cricket team.

Both Kanitkar and Ratra along with GCA president Chetan Desai and other officer bearers were present during the announcement made at state cricket body’s headquarters in Porvorim.

Meanwhile newly appointed coaches hrishikesh kanitkar and ajay ratra gave their views on being offered the job in goa cricket association
