Panaji, 11 July 2020:Goa CM Dr. Pramod Sawant lauded Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore’s community infrastructure initiatives while he graced the occasion as Chief Guest, forhanding over village playground to Amona panchayat which is renovated by Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore and laid the foundation stone to initiate Vedanta’s one more infrastructure project in the village that is, construction work of compound wall for Mahadev Temple, Amona. All safety, hygiene and social distancing measures been adopted at the event given the present unprecedented circumstances of the ubiquitous COVID pandemic.

The aim of these initiatives by Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore, isto provide the infrastructure development support to Amona village, which is a vital component for holistic development of communities. Infrastructure development is the major thrust area of Vedanta’s CSR interventions and since past several decades the company has contributed through numerous community infrastructure development projects across the state.
